Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Moisturizing Lipstick, Blush Basin, 1 Tube

I adore this lipstick!!!! Granted, I wear bold and red lipcolor on a frequent basis, so I am comparing to other bold reds, but this Russet River color is more muted, wearable, everyday red. And, it might not even qualify as an actual red on all lips. It looks like a straight wine red in the image but in person it has more of a brown-red/brown-wine color to it. It's very versatile and can be sheered out or built up to bold. I think it would qualify as red on most lips, but if you are looking for a classic Hollywood red or fire engine red, you'll want another color. This one is amazing for every day, I think it would be perfect for fall, and it also reads a little classic 90s with that brown undertone. I would also suggest this red for those who aren't sure about wearing red and want something less vibrant but still bold and in that red family. It's probably my new favorite lipstick for the moment! I love browns and reds and this is the perfect marriage of the two.It's also extremely hydrating and comfortable on the lips. I LOVE THIS FORMULA, though I have to admit it's not transfer resistant, but it still doesn't move around a lot and it does have a great wear time. These are sooooooooooo comfortable on the lips. I look forward to buying more!I also own the Blush Basin, and I think you should pass on that one. It's a little patchy and straight up peach. Don't do that!!! But this scent is a happy memory.)

Application is smooth, texture is creamy and emollient, lasts several hours . Lovely color for Soring and Summer !

Great hydrating lipstick with lasting color.Very affordable also. This is a quality cosmetic that is gentle on your skin.

My lips break out if I use anything with red 40 dye in it and this lipstick is great. Strong bold color, but doesn't make my lips react. Only slightly dry, but I don't mind that.

I Love this color Russett. The lipstick does not last long but I feel confident that I am not ingesting chemicals from the product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I liked the color. The reviews turned out to be true for me also. It’s kind of designed like a graft and pieces break off on your lips with little pressure. I was disappointed.

The colour is beautiful. I would say more pigmented than sheer. I have very dry lips and most lipsticks and even some lipbalms dry them out: I was hoping this might be different but it results in the same crackly lips as the others sadly. If you have normal not too dry lips then this might be totally fine for you! But not the HG I was hoping for. The other disadvantage is that it slides eeeverywhere, so it is difficult for it not to transfer/get it on other areas of your face. I've never had that problem with any other lipstick so it's not just a skill issue. You probably will need lip liner. But the glossy effect is very pretty.

I love the way this lipstick goes on smoothly moisturizing your lips with natural ingredients and the color Scarlet Soaked is superb. Because of its lightness it tends to vanish from your lips without you realizing it so you do need to reapply through out the day. I also use it as eye shadow and dab a little on my cheeks. Bottom line, I trust Burt’s Bees and so this is just another one to add to the list
