Trident Gum, Watermelon Twist, 18 Count , 12 Pack

The last time I ordered the Watermelon Twist, it was the new packaging with less (but longer sized) pieces. The newer packing is horrible because the gum breaks apart when you try to pull it from the pack, and is VERY hard to unwrap each piece as it tears -- this older version packing and smaller size gum (which has been around for years) is SO much easier to take the gum out of the pack and out of the wrapper -- PLUS I had forgotten that the flavour of the gum in the new packing had changed a bit -- THIS older version tastes SO MUCH BETTER! The expiration date on the packs is November 2018 -- but I chew a lot of gum plus gum has to go over the sell by date by at least a year before it starts to get hard. So glad I found this!

I've been wanting to lose some weight, but every afternoon I get really hungry. A few nuts, a diet bar, a bottle of water does NOT cut it for me. What helps is having a few sticks of sugar free gum to chew. Something about chewing for ten minutes takes away the hunger and lets me get back to my desk job, and the "<5 calories" per stick means I've just saved 100 or more calories on even a dieter's snack that doesn't satisfy (if anything, they just make me hungrier!). It's about 15 pounds of steady weight loss over the past three months doing nothing but replacing afternoon snacking with some Trident gum chewing, and no hunger pangs at all. Easy and painless lifestyle modification!

This is my favorite gum. The brand is good and this particular flavor is one that smells great and tastes amazing. It is sugar free so it's not bad for your teeth. The sweetness and flavor satisfies the craving for something sweet and sugary that I am looking for too so it helps me to avoid eating junk. I can't stand the packages though - they fall apart easily and then there's gum all over my purse but other than that, the gum itself is great. It's the only brand/flavor I will ever use. I would recommend it.

I can stomach the new flavor, but the most moronic decision they've made is replacing the perfect chewable sizes with long gums that Don't even taste the same, even closely, they've more chemical flavoring that doesn't blend into the solid fruit taste that the small ones do. Seems this company's good at fixing what ain't broken. I regret buying a bunch of the long tridents at stores, thinking they'd taste about the same, but really don't, yet are called xactly the same thing, as if different size and taste didn't matter. If the small ones get replaced completely, i'll look into another gum brand.

A little old. The sugar alcohol seems to become more concentrated with time causing a major laxative effect.

I am not really a gum chewer, but I tried this gum and it's delicious! It maintains its sweetness longer than any other gum I've ever tried and it really tastes like watermelon! The best part is that it is sweetened with xylitol which my nutritionist tells me is a great sugar alternative and healthy. It's not flavored with saccharin or Equal or any of the artificial sweeteners that are bad for you. By buying it by the case, I have plenty of gum that will last for a long time!

I like the flavor and convenience of buying gum in bulk but I don't care for the new packaging. I did discover that Trident comes in a amazing number of flavors that I have never seen on store shelves. Google gets another star!

The watermelon twist flavor was my favorite gum for years. I used it to counteract a dry mouth condition, happily chewing through cases of the gum every year.Now the flavor has been changed, and not for the better. The new "bursting with more flavor" is actually "bursting with more awful." I cannot believe that anyone tried chewing this gum for more than a few minutes before it was released. The flavor starts off with a more intense, chemical flavor that I find to be terrible. After a few minutes the flavor starts to feel like it's burning the inside of my mouth. Finally, the gum disintegrates after 10-12 minutes.Others have called this the "New Coke" of Trident gum. That is far too kind. New Coke was very different, but some folks liked it. I cannot imagine anyone chewing this product and finding it anything other than terrible.
