So, if you’re ready to channel your inner construction beast and need bits that back up your fierce drilling ambitions, this Makita set is your ticket. Just be prepared to impress everyone with the sheer fantastiv power of your tool game.

I was not paying attention to the SDS part of these drill bits and they most certainly will not work in a regular Key Based Chuck system like my DeWalt Hammer drill uses. I can center them on the small outer bands but it looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

I don't do a lot of drilling in concrete and other materials but the times I have, a standard "hammer drill" has always been a tedious way to do it. I got a small Makita SDS-plus drill on sale and purchased these bits for it. Used them for the first time to drill some 1/4 inch holes in some old and very hard concrete. The drill and bits did a great job, much much faster than it would have been with a standard drill. When I was done I cleaned up the bits and they still looked like new, no wear that I could see. Maybe not what you would use if drilling concrete all day long, but for occasional use this is a good set of bits.

The quality is the better. I drilled a few holes and did not need too much effort. Taking into account I was NOT using a hammer drill I have to say they are worth it.

I am in the midst of building out a portion of my shop, and found myself needing various sizes of masonry bits for drilling into both cinder block and reinforced concrete. I liked this product, as it included all of the sizes I was going to need in one neat package. These Makita bits fit perfectly in both my Makita rotary hammer, and in my Rigid hammer driver drill. Also, these bits hardly showed any wear even after drilling over 40 holes in reinforced concrete. The bits started out smoothly, and made quick work of making 1/2" x 2" holes for installing pallet rack anchors. Normally, after this kind of use, I would have had to throw other manufacturer's bits in the trash. Great product, in all the right sizes I needed.

These will work in a reg drill as I didn't realize these were specific for a hammer drill. None the less I got the task done installing a permanent canopy on my patio. 1970 concrete btw. Was able to get these pretty quickly as other brands were changing the delivery date to over a week.

WOrks great drilling limestone and stucco. I've only done 15 holes so far, but NO apparent wear. Using a rotary hammer, it cuts like a drill through soft pine. WORTH THE PRICE! Update: Still great. The bit I got with my drill showed some visible wear after just a half dozen holes. Not the Makita. Good product.
