Perfect for the job
I needed to shorted a few Cat cables and this cutter/crimper fulfilled the job quite well. It is of sound construction and easy to use. It cut the cable easily and stripped the wires to correct length. It was easy to fit the connectors. Recommended.

Good Rugged Design
Great quality with ease of use and a strong, comfortable grip makes this a great tool. I am happy that I spent a little more on this one, as it proved to be a keeper (the last cheap one broke in two days and was NOT from Amazon).

Fine product. Painful process
Hopefully I’ll only ever have to fit one Ethernet plug on a cat 5 cable. It took about an hour of my life, but that’s down to the plug design, not this product, which worked very well. It’s not a professional model. Those have stronger, mechanisms, but this was up to the job and the plug hasn’t fallen off since. So, if you’re a casual crumpet, this should serve you well.

Was skeptical but really good bit of kit
I was very skeptical about this product as many of the reviews were by those given a free unit, but can confirm it’s a well built piece of kit. I was using it to terminate RJ11 connectors and worked perfect. Just the right amount of force to fix the connector.

Spend a bit more for a better tool
really poor termination. crimps well on one side but other side barely moves. very uneven pressure

RJ45 plug tool
Played around on scrap piece for 20 minutes then completed plug wiring worth ease. Good tool. You need to photocopy X 200% the instructions to be able to read them.
