It's Archie & friends in the 90's, with symbolic stories to match.Here we see Archie mixed with popular trends like telephone answering machines, hand-held video cameras, remote controls for every kind of gadget, fat free food, dish TVs, personal computers & email, and personal internet sites. Other references include Desert Storm, hidden camera shows, and TV & music auditions. Fashion in the 90's here is mainly represented by some interesting haircuts & styles. Celebrities include a guy named Hal who looks a bit like Howard Stern, Luke Periodical from Jersey City 07303, Blarney the purple dinosaur, musical group Jansan (of mmmbop fame), and an internet advice columnist named Jessica Love Hubert.My favorite Archie artist is Dan Decarlo, and it's amazing to see a few story excerpts by him here. His career spanned multiple decades! I believe other artists here include Stan Goldberg, Rex Lindsey, and Dan Parent, among others. Story credits are more clearly listed in volume 2 of this series.These Archie Americana paperbacks are collections of brief, full-color comics excerpts, printed on good quality paper. It's fascinating to see Archie, Betty & Veronica and friends as represented over different decades.

My daughter loves the Archie series. We purchase a lot of them from local stores and garage sales. This was a present and she loved the format. Keep them coming for another 100 years...
