Game changer!
What an absolute game changer these Hori Split pad pro controllers are! I have fairly large hands so I could never play my Nintendo Switch for long as I found it became uncomfortable after a short period of time. I purchased these and after switching the controls out it was immediately better. They are far more comfortable, the buttons and triggers are nice, tight and accurate (not cheap rubbish) easy to install and use and I can now play for hours in comfort. To accommodate the extra size these controllers give the Switch, I purchased a iofeiwak hard shell case (Amazon) to store it in and it accommodates it perfectly. I genuinely highly recommend these controllers for any Nintendo Switch user.

Good joy-con replacements
These controllers are good - really comfortable for longer play sessions in handheld. I do miss the gyro feature of the standard joy-cons, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The buttons are all sturdy and feel well-made and the joysticks are full-size and much more comfortable. I haven’t set up the extra buttons on the back, but it’s a nice addition if you’re interested in mapping extra features.

Good for the price, though lack of Bluetooth, gyro or rumble is a bummer
First off, these feel WAY more comfortable than the original joy-cons, so if you're someone like me who found them really uncomfortable after long play sessions, these may be for you.The face buttons feel decent. They're not going to blow you away but they're perfectly serviceable and don't feel overly mushy. The d-pad also feels alright, although I did feel like sometimes my inputs didn't register. The sticks feel good, though they aren't particularly grippy and my thumb did slip a few times. The L and R buttons feel good, but they are quite loud if you press them near the top. The ZL and ZR buttons feel good to press down however I would've liked analog triggers considering the size of the Split Pad Pro. I also like the fact that the d-pad and right stick are offset, but it is a matter of personal preference. However, I do not like the feel of the back buttons, they're very mushy. In terms of features, the Split Pad Pro has a turbo function, which you can set to fire rapidly whenever a button is pressed, or it can continuously fire the button without needing to hold it down. You can also assign the back buttons to any of the face buttons or triggers (you can't assign d-pad directions). Unfortunately, there is no Bluetooth, meaning that you can only use these whilst they're on the Switch. There is also no gyro, meaning that if you play games that require the use of it, you'll have to switch controllers. No rumble is also a disappointment, but considering that these have no internal battery, it would've torn through the Switch's battery life, the option to have it would've been nice though. There is also no Amiibo support.Overall, these are a good alternative to joy-cons, and if you already have a controller for use in docked mode, they are great for handheld play. Considering they are £20 cheaper than buying a new pair of joy-cons, I would highly recommend them.

Game changer. Buy one
Excellent product that has revolutionised gaming on my switch. Playing FPS games felt unnecessarily difficult using the standard joycons. This pad changes the whole experience and makes games like DOOM, Metro and Sniper Elite play far more like their console counterparts. Incredibly smooth and precise thumbsticksFeels more akin to an Xbox controller in terms of feel and layout. Makes the switch feel somewhat similar to a steam deck too. Very solid feeling product.Has additional triggers/pads on the underside which can be mapped. This is limited to buttons available on that particular side of the pad. I.e the left side can only be mapped the left side inputs (dpad, Left trigger etc) and the right hand side can only map the abxy side of the pad. This is somewhat limiting but still a useful function, especially when mapping jump and crouch in FPS gamesLoads of third party cases are available for the pad + switch combo, I would advise getting one as the console doesn't lay the most comfortably due to the handgrip moulding. Comfortably fits in the switch dock without disengaging the pads tooCan't yet comment on longevity as have only been using for a month or two but will update accordinglyDefinitely worth the money for any switch owner, especially those after a console-like controller experience for shooters

Upgrades Switch into a different type of games machine
I have owned every version of Switch. I bought and sold them all because of my frustration with the controls. I’m and adult with average size hands. I was very happy to see Red Dead Redemption come to switch. I decided to give switch one more try. This time I looked at other types of controllers.I read the reviews of Hama and invested in them.I have not been disappointed. The switch looks like a child’s console. It’s cute but not practical in adult hands for hours of gameplay. They are light and don’t add to the weight of the switch. The buttons and sticks are good. They are not PS5 or Xbox quality. That’s okay, they have elevated my switch experience.I got a nice case to sit them in.Very happy with my purchase so far!!

I made money by buying this
One day I was playing my switch on the bus when my hand started hurting so I got off the bus and went to a Cex where I sold my joycons for £50 and with that money I bought these for 40. Even though there’s no wireless mode, gyro or motion sensor I don’t care cause the comfort is literally perfect and I love the back buttons. Even if I saw it for £90 I would still buy it it’s so comfortable and light that I could hold it for hours with zero effort or pain. I even checked and there the same weight as normal joy cons. It’s like the pro controller just in handheld. If there was a 6th star I would have clicked it

Amazing but broke after 3 month use.
Bought this item for for my switch, amazing! Felt good in hand and seamlessly slotted into the doc for tv use however after 3 months my right controller has completely stopped connecting to the switch and will no longer work. The left side still connects but now I need a replacement.
