Shelby's is the best 'chili kit'. Some times it's hard to find in this little northern town! So I buy a lot of itand don't need to worry about running out.

Best on the market
This chili is the best on the market. I change the recipe a little bit. I do not add water instead I add two cans of Rotel drained. I also do not use the white packet.

God basic chili kit in pretty box, perhaps not a good value vis-a-vis your standard recipe
I really loved the taste of the chili, but I thought the spice bags a bit minimal. Tiny bag of cayenne pepper. I don't think the big bag of chili powder etc. was any better than what you would use in a good recipe. The masa was a useful thickener. I added beans, not many, and bell peppers. Chopped onions on top.

Easy to make a delicious chili. I brought some of the chili to my neighbor and she immediately ordered some.

Versatile chili mix
To me, the chili didn't need thickening and using maize to thicken it mutes the seasoning and heat. I use the chili along with fat-free refried beans, diced sweet onions, shredded cheese and flour tortillas to make burritos. With sour cream on top, the burritos are very popular.
