These hazel nuts are the best. Sweet and nutty, and high quality - very few duds in the entire bag. Great protein; a healthy, natural snack or to use in baking and cooking. Cracking open any nut can be tricky but that's how nature protects these great-tasting hazelnuts, so that's fine by me. Grown in the US so I feel confident in the product safety, plus the bags always smell fresh and I feel I get good value for money.

Hazelnuts are my favorite and I generally stock up every fall, enough to last all year. This year, I couldn't find them in any of my local stores. After extensive research, I found these Oregon raw hazelnuts in the shell direct from NUTS U.S.! These came in a heavy, re-seal-able plastic bag. They're a nice size and FRESH! I spread a bunch on a cookie sheet and bake them at 325 for about 20 minutes, turn off the oven and leave them in the hot oven another 10 minutes. Once cooled, they're ready to crack and eat! OUTRAGEOUSLY GOOD! My only regret is that I didn't buy a larger bag. 6lbs won't last me all year. I guess I'll be re-ordering!

I have bought these nuts several times and they are clean and fresh…not a bad one in the bunch.

Small part of these nuts in shells are hollow or dried up. Generally smaller then deshelled nuts, but more flavorful if the nut is present.

6lb bag. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's a decent size bag. Nuts all appear to be a good size, in good condition and fresh. Provides great nutrients to squirrels that legumes don't. Taste is unknown, but the squirrels are gobbling them up while caching some for Winter.
