Heavy but 100% Blackout and Look Great
My husband and I put up these curtains in a couple hours because we had to put up the curtain rod too. I ordered four panels in white 102” (8.5 feet) x 52” wide. Our sliding door plus window with trim is 77 inches wide and our wall is 9 feet tall. At first I made sure all four panels were the same length—and they were! Yay! I had bought some sheers from another company and two of the four were 1/2 inch different, so I was cautiously optimistic about the consistency of these 5-star curtains. The 102 length is actually from the top of the grommet (the upper edge of the top of the ring to be precise). This all matters when you want to make the curtains hang to just above the floor. My husband marked holes 6 inches from the ceiling (which might vary for you depending on your rod bracket), then he drilled holes and used plastic drywall anchors to put up the brackets. Unless you are drilling into the studs, you will NEED drywall anchors for your screws because, as other reviewers have said, these curtains are heavy. We decided that 15 inches on each side of the trim would allow the trim to be seen when the curtains were open. Make sure your rod is big enough, and of course one with three brackets so that one can be put in the middle for support. I was able to put the curtains on the rod myself, but it was helpful to have my husband there to hold one end of the rod while I got the other hooked on a bracket. Or you can use a tall ladder on the other side to hold the rod while you maneuver it up. I am so happy that the curtains hang to right above the shoe mold! Also I’m glad I listened to my google search on the best length for curtains (“kissing” the floor or barely above the floor) as opposed to my husband telling me it should be 3-ish inches above the floor. No. The length is perfect! As you can see in the picture of the curtains closed, there is a little light that peeks in the room at the bottom but this is a daylight pic in June in NC. I’m pleased with the quality of these and happy with the white as it makes my coastal room look open and bright. I’ll add more color to the room with wall pictures soon. If I wished any improvement to these, it would be to make them a bit lighter in weight, but I’m not sure if that would be possible while maintaining 100% blackout.

true blackout, nice product
Bottom line--they are TRUE blackout curtains. Yay! Your room will look pitch black if these curtains are closed on all the windows. Your baby will nap (I hope) and think it is night time. The Moroccan blue is a really on-trend color. Kind of a muted aqua, not loud, not overly bright. I can totally see this is any neutral room. It doesn't look overly feminine or drab. I love all neutrals, but consider this color for window treatments when decorating a neutral room! Nice quality fabric! They were a tiny bit wrinkly out of the package but HELLO...all things are slightly wrinkly out of the package. They weren't creased deeply. I bet a little steaming or ironing would do the trick, but I just don't care about that tiny amount of wrinkling. I don't like the grommets at the top, but they matched the description. It was what I expected. I just wish they offered it with a rod pocket, if that's the right term. Maybe they do and I just didn't notice? Who knows. Grommets make it easier to glide along the rod. Oh yeah--please note that a curved blackout rod is recommended. If the blackout curtains can curve toward the wall at the end, they can actually block the light out. I ordered a rod like this and it worked great. And the back part that you see through the window from outside of the house is black. Not shiny or weird. You might want to get something like...I don't know, velcro or something to close the two drape panels together, but I haven't really needed it. I just manually overlap the two panels a bit, and they stay. The material isn't silky, so they have enough traction that the two panels kind of stay closed by themselves and don't slid out of place.

True Blackout!
I was hesitant to buy these curtains because they were a little more expensive than others I've been looking at, but I really liked the color (chocolate) and I liked the fact that they are black on the outside. During the day it's hard to tell that the curtains are shut from the outside. I'm trying to add more warm colors to my pretty much gray interior and this was one step and I couldn't be happier. Our last curtains were supposed to be "blackout" but there was always a ton of light coming in. I immediately noticed a difference when I put these up. It's hard to tell in the pictures but our dining/kitchen/living area is now pretty dark during the day which normally I don't like but, in this heat, it's imperative to keep the house cool as the morning sun just drenches the front of the house. Like others mentioned, I took them down (2 at a time) and put them in the dryer with a damp rag to get the wrinkles out, which worked great, but I couldn't wait to get them back up as you could feel the heat coming in. I can't wait to see how it affects our electric bill in the future. I'm looking to get more for other rooms in the house. Highly recommend!

Perfect blackout curtains for a baby’s room
We put these blackout curtains in our baby’s room to help her sleep better, and they have worked perfectly. They make the entire room very dark, even during the day in the summer or when it stays light out longer in the evenings. The length is just right — they reach all the way to the floor and cover the whole window without any gaps. They were easy to install, feel durable, and we haven’t had any issues with wrinkles or tearing.I also love that the neutral design looks great in our baby’s nursery and will match as she grows. Overall, I highly recommend these if you need blackout curtains that really block out the light.

They actually work.
These actually make my room dark! I was skeptical because of the price but I love them! They also help make my room cooler. I had to buy an extra curtain panel because they didn’t quite cover my window completely so I bought a different color but the same brand and now they make my room so dark. Also the colors are exactly what I wanted to bring out the colors of my horse painting above my bed.
