Wow! The camsaft sensor fixed my transmission shifting problem!
I thought my transmission was going out or needed to be serviced on my BMW X5(e53). The check engine light remained on even after I cleared all the fault codes. I was dealing with multiple fault codes at the same time, while the vehicle engine was idling and revving in park was just fine, but slow acceleration and transmission was shifting poorly and hanging(not up shifting in normal rpm range). An EVAP leak code would come on after I would fill up with gas, it dawned on me to change the gas cap, that problem solved. The other code was the camshaft position sensor B in bank 1 "the front exhaust side sensor". I ordered these sensors and replaced the front exhaust side sensor, with some drama because I initially used 3/16 Allen key instead of a 5mm and stripped the head of the bolt, then tapped it out with a bolt extractor from Lowe's. Make sure you use a 5mm Allen wrench when removing the bolt : ). I took my a car for a test drive after clearing the fault code and to my surprise the transmission was back shifting in the normal rpm range also with that sensor replacement! The camshaft position sensor B, bank 1 must also feed the rpm data to the transmission shift module. I couldn't be happier.

Satisfactory
Good part over all. Still being used now. Threw a code later down the road and I just unplugged it and plugged it back in and works great. Only had to do that once since I got it and that was monthss ago

Cheap. Either don't work or will fail soon.
My BMW X3 E83 would sometimes stall when accelerating from a stop. Changing the cam position sensors with these did the trick. This kit of sensors is SUPER inexpensive compared to other sources. I spent $50 for the crank sensor alone at my local AutoZone. Only thing is they must also be a bit on the cheaply built side because now when starting the car, it sometimes just cranks and wont start. I have to stop cranking and 2nd time always works. Never had the issue before changing them. Still happy it fixed my original problem as the new one is very minor in comparison.1 year update: Started having issues with the car P0335, P0304, P1339 and a very rough idle. Used the crank sensor only to find it did not work at all and the car would no longer start therefore indicating at least one of the cam sensors has gone bad. No warranty, removed 3 stars.

as it is a gamble and what seems like a charitable donation to the seller
After the Cam position sensors and Crank position sensor have been installed 2 months go buy and random intermittent failure Cam and Crank Position sensor Check Engine codes pop up.You get what you pay for, needless to say - Dont buy AUTOKAY. as it is a gamble and what seems like a charitable donation to the seller. At least they fit, However they were unfortunately DEFECTIVE.

Worked for about 4 weeks
My car was intermittently stalling but not so much that the car fully turned of, just dropped RPMs and then grabbed and continued to drive. I hated stops, cruising wasn't a problem. I replaced the old one with this sensor and it was working great for about 4 weeks before the same symptoms came back. Most people on forums have said this but I figured why not give it a try. Well I did and now I am going to purchase the Genuine BMW sensor. I will try to update this after a few months with the genuine part.

Reliability. Which this product does not have
Very short lifespan. If you buy this product you will be buying another in 6 months.

Must have kit.
Great deal!Somebody should work on a "100k Refresh", I am up to $500, which isn't that bad for over a dozen parts, but it took about one hundred hours of research. This kit should be on that list.Good directions on the website that does videos, especially for the crankcase sensor. You can remove, and replace, that sensor from Under the vehicles in question. Even the sedans.
