I have seen several people asking about directions on these sliding gate openers by this manufacturer. Mine came with instructions, and they were fairly easy to follow. I got it all set up in an afternoon. After I got it set up though the unit was dead. I contacted the seller through Amazon chat and they responded that evening, even though it was on the weekend. They had me send several pics, and look at a couple of different things. They determined that the control board was bad, and sent me another one right away. As soon as I put it in everything worked perfectly. The unit itself is great, and it's nice that it comes all together in one box (solar panel, batteries, battery box, 2 remotes, and the actual unit) and you don't have to piece it together from different listed items. I needed additional chain, and I bought #41 chain and it worked perfect. I did have to buy a chain cutting tool to size the chain. I really couldn't be happier with the unit and I thought their customer service was good.

IT WOULD BE A CRIME TO CONTINUE TO ENDORSE THIS COMPANY AND SELL THERE PRODUCTS. If I could minus stars I would. They are mediocre at best. I purchased this product 4 months ago. Once it was installed it wasn’t programmable, have never been able to get a hold of customer service in a capacity that actually helps, besides sending a generic message with worthless troubleshooting suggestions. I looked on YouTube, without any success… scanned the QR code hoping to get to on to an online chat with support, instead I just got the online version of the piece of paper I was holding.The opener randomly resets itself every so often, which causes it to go off track, the manual release door is stuck and won’t open. So that is pointless and this final situation has caused it to get stuck and jammed. So far I have spent over 599$ on service people to fix the problems I’ve had, and never once have I heard from customer service beyond the initial jargon, which doesn’t address the issue my time has meaning to me and I have wasted so much time describing the problem to get nowhere with them and it keeps reoccurring. DON’T ORDER THIS PRODUCT IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!!!

Just the battery converter not work but everything else very good

My new house came with a driveway and a gate, but no motor! I installed this kit, it works after some troubleshooting, and it's reasonably quiet. I had several issues during installation, some with the opener kit and some with my cheap sliding gate (it came with the house).1 - as others have said, the solar controller will show an error e04 which is not in the instruction manual. You must change the setting from "Scn" to "Scf", whatever that means. After that your load wire will be hot/sparky so be careful attaching it to the motor...2 - the cables are too short. I put my panel and battery box above the gate and then the provided cable from the charger to the motor was too short, and had the wrong terminal shape too. Weird. I made my own cable in white.3 - my stupid sliding gate is only as wide as the driveway itself and I had mount the motor to the side, so I had to fabricate an "arm" off the side of the gate to attach the chain to. That sucked. My halfbaked solution works for now. Let's see how long it lasts?4 - The kit comes with a IR object obstruction sensor which needs to be installed on either side of the gate and you have to bury the cable between them. That's not practical for my already-poured driveway, so that's not good. Without this sensor It will crush anything in it's way. If I stand in front of this thing to try and stop it from closing, it'll knock me over! Dangerous. Idk why there's not some laser sensor like my garage door has. LameOverall, it's pretty good... but could be better

I have used this gate opener at my house and my aunts house. It works great. I am using it as a solar powered opener at both places. Mine has worked fine for 3 to 4 years now, all seasons. At my aunts, one battery went bad within 5 months. I contacted the company and after a few emails and some pictures sent I was reimbursed for the cost of a new battery. The gate is working fine again. Great service, I would use this opener again.

The media could not be loaded. I just bought this it’s not working I don’t understand why these lights are not going away or stopping I’m following every single step in the manual correct but these keeps happening it’s not allowing me to enter other modes also the instructions are not clear! Do I have to connect the batteries & the solar to the motor I only have 2 wires in the kit one goes to the motor power the other one goes to the solar & system I think we supposed to connect the solar & the batteries to the motor the instruction have 2 papers page 41 it shows something deferent than page 15 on the pic it shows to connect both

The media could not be loaded. We bought this gate opener for our elderly parents and saved them approximately $2500 by installing it ourselves. The directions are a little lacking and we had an issue with the motherboard, but Banyan Imports has really good customer service/tech support and helped us resolve our issues quickly. The opener works smoothly and has a soft open/close feature that we really appreciate!

I have spent thousands on this opener and it has not worked a single time. Gone through handyman after handyman and they can't get it to work. Only arrived with 1 battery but needed 2. Had to order a 2nd one but the manufacturer recommended the wrong batteries which delayed it further. Just an absolute, unmitigated nightmare to a level I have never encountered. I bought this in August of 2021 and it has not worked a single time. I am out about $2,000 between the litany of handymen and repair people none of whom can get it working.
