The Majors are all spelled out in Italian and the pip cards are just that, no information to help a reading. However, the lovely etched-style artwork (rather than woodblock-printed style like the Marseille decks) was just what I wanted. If you’re new to Tarot I’d recommend getting the Centennial Smith-Waite deck first, as it’s the very best way to learn. Then when you feel conversant with the cards, come back and look at this again. I really wish Lo Scarabeo would make a mini/tinned version of this. It would be my perfect deck.

My mom loves to read tarot and I bought these for her when the vintage set I purchased was late. They are beautiful and include illustrations of Italian art works. She loves them. They seem to be of good quality and are semi-glossy finish (I think). I perfect little stocking stuffer.
