This is a well built micro torch. Works great on acetylene. Haven’t tried any other fuel to check it out.

This little torch is incredible and perfect for jewelry making. The adjustments can take a minute to get used to, but once you get it you're good.

perfect for platinum and sterling silver, exactly what I needed. the flame control is very precise, I can get it exactly how I want it. it is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. it seems very well built, and all of the pieces seal well.

Expensive and necessary

I love the Smith Little Torch. I have been a metalsmith since 1993 and I teach jewelry making classes. I have a Little Torch at every bench and they can do almost anything that we need for them to do. I will always have one at my bench.

Always buy the best, this torch and its connections are the best. I was going to buy the cheap ones until I read the reviews, and then i remembered why you buy quality. The reviews for the cheap ones says it all.

this is the second best small needle fine torches available and the best on amazon. the gtt hornet is far superior due to not needing to swap tips out. as far as this torche goes, it is usually a very stable flame and the adjustments are pretty good. I have used cheaper units and not been very pleased. this unit is still a tad touchy for my taste vs the older version I used to have. one of the copper tips has started to melt as well. quality control seems to need to step up it's game. the smallest 2 tips can only reliably be used with hydrogen and oxy. I use propane and oxy so stick with the top 3 tips. don't expect any monster flame or even to be able to weld or braze steel cause it's not gonna do that. it will work jewelry and anything that isn't so big that it acts as a giant heat sink. perfect for detail glass work or metal work.
