Do the orchid roots just hang there in the air? Outside of any soil?

Just simply tie the orchid on this wooden planter, leave the roots as it shows in our listing. After a few weeks, most of the roots will grid on the wood can continue to grow perfectly. If I want to use it for a vertical succulent garden what material do I use to attach the plants?

Dear customer, thank you for your interest in our plant holder. You can insert moss in between the wooden planks, follow by your succulents. If your plants are too small and might drop off from the hanging planter, then it's recommended to stable some mesh before you insert the plants. which hangers are you using or recommending for the pot holder ? i tried one but wouldn't fit.
