I find this works very well with my nails, but occasionally a nail will get really hot when using it. I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing in my preparation (or is a chemical reaction as the questions state), but it seems really random, and moving my hand slightly seems to alleviate the heat. So I'm not completely confident it's consistent in the amount of LED light hitting each nail. But I won't hold this against the machine, just something to expect.I also noticed for 30, 60, and 90 second cycles, the number on the top of the dryer counts down. For 120 seconds, it counts up. That's very odd.

The first lamp I got was broken, the lights would not turn on inside even thought it had power. They sent me another one and this one works well. This was my very first time doing gel nails at home and it wasn’t so bad! I did 60 - 80 secs every time I did a layer of anything. First layer: base coat. Second layer and third layer: gel nail polish. Fourth and fifth layer: top coat.Hopefully the lamp lasts. It’s not at hot as professional ones but it’s pretty darn good for what I’m using it for! :)
