Less burning, and stops bleeding.
Stops small shaving nicks quickly, but for those heavy bleeders, your going to need a styptic stick. Alum seems to burn less than styptic as well.

This is great stuff. Takes care of your "shaving mistakes" (the ones you don't realize you make). Tingles very nicely. Rub it after rinsing your face with cold water (leave face wet), let it dry, and apply your favorite after shave balm. Feels very good. I just wish Amazon had rhe wide-stick version of Shave Nation alum stick. And don't forget to dry it before you put the lid back on.
