awesome blanket!
I have two dogs who are allowed on my sectional sofa. I ordered two of these to cover that sofa . I was really surprised at the quality of this blanket for the price. I love how big it is. It's also surprisingly heavy. I love the color too. Nice olive green color that blends well with my decor. I love that it doesn't show dirt, doesn't pill, vacuums easily between washes ( I have a very hairy white cat lol), and gets softer after every wash. My animals love the feel of it too. It stays in place on my sofa unlike other blankets I've had that bunch up and move. It does create an enormous amount of lint during the first wash/dry. You do really need to follow the directions and dry it in 30 minute increments and clean the lint trap between dry times. The blanket does smell like chemicals until you wash it a few times. I suppose that is from the fire retardant material in the blanket. I hope it's not toxic but I can't find that information. I just bought a third blanket for travel. Highly recommend.

Better than surplus
Exactly what you’d expect. Large wool (or mostly wool blend) blanket, dark olive green colour. Works perfectly for keeping out the winter cold and keeping in your body heat. Perfect for camping, hunting, or just throwing on the bed at home. Makes a great dog blanket for the car. A little on the heavy side, but that’s how you know it’s working. Machine washable, but definitely recommend a gentle setting with either warm or cold water as opposed to hot. Kept me warm on many a sub 15° night at elk camp, and kept the grass stains off on many a warm summer picnic. Will soak up water like a sponge if kept in a damp environment, so be careful not to leave it folded up around moisture or you’ll quickly have a mildewed blanket. Great value for the price

Good value at a decent price
Nothing fancy, just a plain old green military-style wool blanket. This has been a go-to item on several camping trips now (I own two total), and it continues to be useful and surprisingly durable for such an inexpensive product. The notorious "smell" went away after about three trips since it was basically getting aired out all day.I typically put one on the floor of my tent to provide a warm surface for my feet in the mornings, and to keep any dirt off of the tent floor since I can just shake out the blanket and wash it afterwards. After all the uses, it's gotten very soft and I've even used it as an extra blanket on my bed. For washing, don't use heat, just cold water and then have it tumble by itself on the "air" setting in the dryer, or hang it outside to dry.

Perfect for Camping and Cold Weather, Super Warm and Durable
This wool blanket is dense, warm, and holds up well to outdoor elements- so it's a great choice for camping, keeping as a just-in-case blanket for the car, or even in place of a duvet. I've used it both outside and inside, and it really holds up well against the sun, water (when I forget it outside during a storm), and cold/windy days. It doesn't hold smells long, at least as far as I've seen, but I do air it outside a lot. Not the softest wool blanket, but it has softened more after several months of use, and it's a great quality for the price. While I've used it myself in order to fully review it, I actually purchased this for my cats. They absolutely LOVE this wool blanket. As soon as I put it down they're all over it. They use it as a bed, play with it like a toy, and climb across like spider monkeys or do zoomies through it when it's draped over something. I also used it as a crate cover and it works great since it big and heavier than a typical blanket, making it easy to place over the crate without too much sliding. As a crate cover it blocked out pretty much all light (I bought a darker color), so the cats can have a nice dark area for sleeping/hiding.One downside it that is does shed like crazy while being washed (but that's pretty typical of the wool products I've gotten). I first handwashed it with Woolite, and it shed a ton. Then washing machine, and it shed all over the washer (though not as much as the first wash). Shedding isn't nearly as bad after the first few washings. As a warning, it's super heavy when soaking wet.Overall I'm very happy with this product and plan on purchasing another soon!Edit: Still a great product after 1 year of use, no issues with fabric or stitching even with cats clawing all over it. The charcoal black color has only faded a little while being in the sun and outdoor elements pretty much 24/7. The 2nd blanket I got in green shed A LOT less compared to the previous one I bought. I'm thinking the new blanket design sheds less than before, which is great.I also used 2 blankets to help keep a feral cat I trapped and spayed warm during the nights until I released it, to cover both the trap and crate and keep the heat in. Worked fantastic! Going to buy another before the winter cold sets in this year.

A decent blanket for a decent price
No complaints. I regularly use it for camping.I like the large size because I can wrap the blanket under my feet and over my head at the same time. It is not nearly as warm as a sleeping bag or a double layer blanket, but it is still pretty warm considering how thin it is. When you first open it has a distinct smell, not a bad smell, but a noticable one. The smell mostly went away after washing it a few times though. It does fine in the washing machine and dryer. I'm thinking about getting a second one.

A bit scratchy
It’s very large, I really like it. A bit scratchy but it may soften up when I wash it but I would get another one when needed
