My third order of these masks was delivered this morning and I am yet to have any that smell chemically or have layers missing.My wife initially asked me to get some black surgical masks, because we double masks and she was tired of dim whitted opinionated individual's kept pointing out that she had two masks on. Black surgical masks, don't stand out under as much as the white ones when worn under black material mask and so the idiots seem not to notice.I looked ar a large number different listings on Amazon and so many had poor reviews. These also had poor reviews but less than the others advertised, several about a chemical smell or layers missing.The first pack I ordered arrived, there were no issues. No awful smell, all of the layers are present for all of the 10 masks in the pack. They were a little pricy. I do have to say, the outer material of the mask is constructed of material that seems thicker than the blue/green medical masks. It maybe just the colouring but it feels more substantial and it does take a little more effort to get large amounts of air through if you are exercising. Which surely is a plus, as it must mean better protection.

I've purchased and used NUÜR's masks before (blue version), and have found them decent in quality with a metal nose strip, and generally comfortable to wearHowever; the black version uses a flat elastic strap (rather than a round strap like their blue version), so they don't stretch as well, and tug on the ears a bit more. Other than that, highly recommended, 4 stars*** Item was dispatched from and sold by Trend Venture. Experience with other sellers may vary

I guess mask-fatigue had begun to set in so I decided to up my mask game. I had debated purchasing a bunch of overpriced, but similarly coloured masks from a hip new US start up that promised ethically sourced materials, street-cred and Covid style. I wasn't willing to pay 50 dollars for the privilege. All I was really looking for was a grey surgical mask.This is indeed a grey mask. But it is not a surgical mask strictly speaking. As such it doesn't offer the same level of protection. Or if it does, it isn't mentioned on the packet. In fact I couldn't find any information about its airborne bug busting credentials.It looks better than the standard issue green face masks and it is comfortable. Too comfortable in fact. It is very loose fitting and does not maintain a very good face seal. Open your mouth to talk, yawn etc., and the mask moves. Far from ideal. A double twist around the ears seems to do the trick. However if you're specifically looking for a grey mask because you think it's going to keep you safe AND stylish - the effect is somewhat diminished by doing this.I've gone back to crappy looking, but effective, surgical masks.

Purchased both grey and black. I prefer the grey as they seem somewhat stronger. These were also a 10 pack as advertised but the black contained just 9. The choice of colours is excellent. Overall I would recommend but somewhat annoyed about only receiving 9 in the pack of black.

I saw reviews mentioning that these masks had a smell and wasn't sure if I should believe them but yes these really smell very strongly and I won't be using them. Disappointed with this purchase.

Very happy with these. They are on the small side, which is fine for my (female) face size, and are relatively lightweight so don’t inhibit your breathing or steam up your glasses too much. They are neat and well made. Will buy them again.
