Great post lights for a great price. Nice looking aluminum housing. The ones I had on the post were obsolete by another manufacturer and were 3 1/2 in dia. These are a little smaller dia. but worked great. Of course, the holes did not line up, but I expected that. By photos you can see how great they look. I'm going to buy six more and keep them as backups. Some have said the light is too bright, for me PERFECT!

Got this to mount to our new white vinyl fence at each post...we mounted about 10 inches off the ground to illuminate the low plants we have and to outline our fence. we have 5 mounted 8 ft apart. looks nice! f tricky to do neatly. our vinyl fence the rails are hollow. so if you want to do it neatly without any wires seen, you have to fish the wire the length of you fence along the rail. I used standard electrical fishing wire by klein and worked great. Then you drill 2 holes on the vinyl post to mount your light. Once day these lights will fail. Too bad not serviceable bulb. S i bought some more as backup in case they ever discontinue these. Best way to extend their life is to make sure water does not intrude inside. No rain since in installed out here in drought stricken california but some silicone around the base should make it virtually water tight... but then will it over heat? no perfect. but overall luv how they look.

I had found similar lights that were much more expensive but I needed to keep the budget down so held my breath as I started installing, not sure what to expect. The lights come with the length of wire to run down the post but based on where I installed them on the post that length of wire would not be long enough, they would need to be installed much lower on the post. I had my deck wired when it was built so all I needed to do was trim the wires and join them up. BUT... In my head I figured lights would have enough internal space for the wires being connected inside the enclosure, but that is not accurate. These lights are not meant to have wiring connected/stored internally, but I made do (see the images). I bought some crimp connectors at a big box store and they ended up working out. I had to do some minor disassembly of the lights to make things work but was able to fit the wires and crimps inside the enclosures and they turned out really nice. I bought a few extra lights and am glad I did because 3 failed either out of the box or during installation. A solder joint on one failed, one didn't work at all, and one got really hot after it was installed and I uninstalled to save myself the hassle (and maybe a fire) later on. I installed a light on every post that was not a corner and they put out enough light for good mood lighting on my deck. I will be installing post cap lights on the corners and put the post lights and post cap lights on different circuits and am glad I did. Overall I am very pleased given the price point.

The product is well-constructed light and strong, with the white outer cover, it looks great with my handrails. The light Cascades down perfectly Illuminating the area not too bright not too dim. Product is as described. Everything Is easy to install with no problems.

This is the second house I have installed outdoor lighting: these were half the price, and give the exact amount of light we were seeking, i.e. dim but enough to light the walking area. One minor negative: they came prewired, and the wire was not long enough for my needs, so I had to remove all the wires and resolder new wiring. Not hard, but it slowed things down a bit. Other than that, great value.
