ejet 920XL Replacement for HP 920XL Ink Cartridges Combo Pack 920 XL Compatible with Officejet 6500 6500A 6000 7000 7500 7500A E709 Printer (2 Black, 2 Cyan, 2 Magenta, 2 Yellow, 8 Pack)

I just installed a set of these in an Officejet 6500 E709a that had sat for a number of years. All of the OEM HP920XL cartridges were empty and reporting as damaged or missing on the scrolling LCD display on the control panel. My expectations were low, given HP's history with third party ink.I'm pleased to report that the cartridges are installed and working well.These ink cartridges are NOT remanufactured OEM's, but are instead new, clean sheet designs that fit into the print head assembly the same as the OEM cartridges. They are translucent, so you can see how much ink they contain, which I like. They contain new security chips, so there are no printer serial numbers from previous installations that would cause your printer's firmware to block them. It may complain about their non-OEM status, but it should permit the printer to use them, especially if you have avoided updating your firmware. My firmware revision is reporting as MJP1FN0907AR.After the initial installation, the Officejet 6500 recognized that non-HP ink cartridges were installed and stated so. But, the printer made no attempt to reject or refuse to work with them. It proceeded to attempt "cartridge alignment", which predictably failed. I'm not sure why HP does this, since the Officejet 6500, as well as my companion Officejet 7500A, have a separate print head assembly. The cartridges are just ink tanks that snap into the print head - no alignment is needed.Despite the alignment failure, I proceeded to print out a CUPS test page - this is under openSUSE LEAP 15.5 Linux, with the printer connected via ethernet cable, which printed flawlessly after I ran two print head cleaning cycles.I've attached a couple of pictures - note that the orange cap that seals the new cartridges CANNOT be used on the old OEM's, at least not without modification, since there are some external differences in the molding of the new cartridges on their bottoms.

Easy install and thankful the cartridges work. These are refilled cartridges but so far so good. Cans assess to their longevity yet as I’ve only installed and started to use them. Appreciate having a 2 pack so I have a back up. Decent price

I saw these off-brand (Private Label) inkjet cartridges last month and thought I might pick up a pkg. to have on hand. I installed them last week (roughly 5 wks. after purchase), they snapped into place and refused to print anything but BK. We double checked the instructions and reinstalled just in case. Again, only BK was functional and even that was watery (thin) and did not cover HP quality paper. On photo paper the black wasn’t even distinguishable. Others seem to have had better luck except for some other HP users. Amazon contacted me to see how we made out and denied any culpability because we didn’t report the issue for several weeks. Moral of the story: don’t purchase off-brand products that you don’t intend to use immediately or stick with your local brick & mortar office supply retailer.

Working great in my 6500 officejet !!!

It is the best quality product with this price tag...I came across. Buying ink for inkjet printers has always been a big headache, but Ejet has provided the best solution for it!In this listed price the company provides 2 refills for each color which is pretty awesome. The cartridge fits well into the printer-slots and changing them is very easy with the directions provided by Ejet.The only thing is, whenever I start my printer, I have to select OK on the touchscreen, which is not an issue as compared to the performances. I recommend everyone to go for it if you are looking for a best alternative and quality.

Ink appears to be as good as HP. After one month or so, no leakage, no damage to printer. Another nice feature is that the tanks are translucent so you can actually see how much ink is left. Great price value. Wish I had done this several years ago.....

much less costly that expensive cartridges, won't go back...try them!
