Nice sturdy coin envelope

Perfect for use as an inner bag for seeds. I collect seeds from my garden and dry them. For storing and sharing, I bag them up in these nifty waxy bags, then I put this bag into a white coin envelope. It keeps them fresh. These are the perfect size for my needs.

This is the second time I’ve ordered these glassine envelopes. They’re wonderful for seeds (though they won’t hold a large volume of larger seeds such as pumpkin, nasturtium, or larger varieties of sunflower). I use them to pack seeds I’ve saved for friends and generally keep my own seeds from the season in larger envelopes or jars due to volume. These are great for gifts though. The glassine can be drawn on with an art pen or waterproof pen/sharpie, or sticker labels used. My only complaint is that out of both batches I’ve ordered neither has had the moistenable glue on the flap that it advertises in the description. I’ve tried moistening multiple from each batch with varying amounts of water and there’s never a hint of stickiness. They obviously still work when sealed with tape, a sticker, or glue, but I have to be careful with smaller seeds and sharply crease the fold with a fingernail or bone folder and apply a larger amount of tape to ensure none escape from the corners. I’ll keep buying them as the size and price are right, and they usually ship quickly, but it’s something to be aware of.

Works great for me! I wanted something other than plastic to create grab and go bags for my son’s daily vitamin gummies. I also wanted something I wouldn’t have to worry about him losing for reuse. These fit the bill! He can grab one on the way out the door and throw the envelope away. I put four gummies in each bag and there is room for more. That lack of adhesive wasn’t an issue for me as I just folded them over and stapled them closed.

These envelopes are great. Compared to some of the others I have bought they are premium feeling glassine paper. Well made and no flaws that I can see.
