Great, good price, very powerful, nice construction, easy to use
I’m using it for a wind tunnel, works really well, great price. I didn’t use it with a battery, but I would assume it works well with it too.

Used this on my RC rescue retrieve boat and it really works well doing the job.

A great replacement for model airplane.
Replaced the motor on HK Voltiguer. This motor coupled with a 12 X 6 prop is awesome. Very powerful. Windings look fantastic. Very pleased with this one.

Good replacement motor for Durafly Tundra
I have two Durafly Tundras that are fantastic short-field performers. The stock motor works well in them but has a tendency to let the magic smoke out. They are never in stock (likely because they have to be replaced so often) so I spent some time trying to find a replacement. This was the best one I could come up with that was inexpensive and available on Amazon. It's rated at a similar wattage and RPM and can use the same ESC and prop combo. The only issue is that it is longer and heavier than the stock motor and requires enlarging the center opening in the cowl to get it to fit. Being heavier and having the weight slightly farther forward requires some more weight in the tail to balance it out, but it is manageable. It's also slightly less powerful than stock, but just marginally.I've wrung this motor out and have yet to burn it up. It's a good replacement that is less expensive and available.

Replacement Apprentice motor for 1/4 the cost
It's the same size and weighs exactly the same as the Eflite Power-15 motor that comes on Horizon's "Apprentice" RC trainer (which is by far the most popular trainer on the market). It's also quieter and smoother. It's a little more powerful at 900kv (instead of 840kv), which will stress the 30a ESC in your Apprentice, unless you limit the throttle to 90%, but that's hardly a problem. The only reason I held back a star is that it has a weird motor mount pattern and the prop adapter shaft is too short to use the spinner. But two of the motor mount holes are right and you can use a file to enlarge the other two holes in the Apprentice motor mount to work. You can use the screws from your old motor, and add a washer to the two screws on the wallowed-out holes. But be careful that the screws aren't so long that they pinch the wires below. It's easy to tell-- you can see them through the case. Add washers as necessary. As for the spinner -- for $60, I can do without!Short version -- great motor, great price, free shipping!

Lots of problems with these motors.
Man I've had a lot of problems with these motors. The first one I bought worked fine. Produced good power, and ran smoothly. However the other two (one of them 3548 1100KV, one 3548 900KV) I've had nothing but problems with....The 1100KV motor out of the box made a grinding sound and sparks shot everywhere when testing the direction with the ESC prior to install. So out of the box something was severely wrong. The 900KV everything tested fine without a prop. I got it installed, got to the field for the maiden flight. Applied takeoff power, and the prop and the stator departed the front of the plane at about mach 5. Turns out this motor didn't have the C clip holding the propeller shaft and stator in place, so there is another return I need to make.I purchased both of these motors new, and was running the recommended propeller and ESC size per the manual.
