Good upgrade pedals.
I purchased a bike from Walmart and the pedals it came with were horrible. So I took a on chance on these pedals and it was worth it. The pedals are a good upgrade for a bmx bike.

Satisfied
Didnt buy for commuting or for light weight. Bought because they were metal and sturdy. Overall has been good. Wish they were cheaper but still a good buy

Upgrade from cheap plastic pedals
I’m so old that I remember when molded plastic bike pedals didn’t break into pieces. These alloy pedals were a nice upgrade to my son’s mountain bike. I have peace of mind now at a reasonable price. Be careful as this model comes in both sizes.

Good solid feel.
Just got these today and work great on my 60's Schwinn Fleet. Provides me with solid footing that I didn't have with my old pedals.

Doesn't meet advertised weight, questionable bearings or bearing surfaces.
I've been biking for 40 years. And I have a few issues with these.First, the weight issue. Many cyclists are VERY weight conscious, and manufacturers KNOW this. This is why they advertise the weight of their parts. And with modern casting, machining, and construction methods, it is VERY easy for a manufacturer to produce items within 2% of one another, weight-wise.So for a listed weight (ok, mass, science geeks) of 440g, I would expect a range of 431-449 grams, with a +/- 2%. I weighed these at 456 grams for the pair on my digital scale. That's about 3.7, 3.8% heavier than they should be. Now, those less technically inclined may roll their eyes, but those of us trained in PRECISION, find nearly a 4% out of spec tolerance to be unacceptable in an arena where there is a constant 3-way battle being fought between the forces of strength, weight, and cost. And I'm not the first person to make this distinction. It was in a famous cycling magazine that I read "Lightweight, strong, cheap...pick 2." So yes, I'm going to hammer on every gram. And before anyone says I expect the impossible? Feel free to look up another review I'm working on right now about a competing pedal. They list the weight as 300 grams. The tested weight? 305 grams. That's 1.6% above spec weight. THIS is acceptable. Nearly 4% is not. Thus, a star removed for "Not meeting stated specifications".Second issue I have is the smoothness of the spindle movement. First, they're not uniform. One pedal is definitely better than the other. The ONE pedal feels like it has a deformation in one of the bearing races, to the tune of a thousandth perhaps more. I don't have an inside run-out gauge to take exact measurements, but I DO have my hand. The other pedal feels...just ok. It doesn't have the huge "mountain/valley" effect the one does, but it's still not really "buttery-smooth".By comparison, I will again reference the other pair of pedals I am currently reviewing. When I rotate the spindle? BOTH feel smooth as silk. I know these get a lot of good reviews, but some of you must have either got lucky or I was un-lucky and got a lemon. Or nobody's ever held and spun a true high-end pedal spindle. The bearings in these are, in my opinion, not as good as their marketing department claims. While not being "rough" per se, I just can't get over the "hill/valley" of the one and the lack of uniformity, even between 2 seemingly identical pedals. I deducted another star for a really terrible bearing in one of these. The other pedals I'm reviewing? The thought might be that I'm comparing some professional-level pedal. But officially? The pedals I'm comparing these to are $2.31 more expensive (as of this writing). So they're on the same tier.Ok, so...I dogged them for not meeting weight, and one having a REALLY out of round bearing surface somewhere, but what do I LIKE about them?Well, despite their obvious cast construction, they do seem to be made fairly well, quite solid. The lugs are nice and grippy for your shoes, and they come with reflectors. They have a clean look, very nice ascetically, and their pass-through design means my velcro toe-straps fit and work perfectly. For a basic pedal, they're...just ok, in my opinion. Not great, not terrible, and I've seen lighter pedals with better bearings in this price range. Happy trails!

Cheap but you get what you pay for
Bearings dead after less than 6 months of nearly daily use. Annoying as I now have to buy another set of pedals. I will spend a bit more this time having learned from my mistake

Exactly as described.
These pedals fit my exercise bike without any issues. Perfect replacement for expensive pedals you would otherwise have to get from the manufacturer. Thank you for a great buy. So far the pedal has help up great.
