Battery life is very short- breaks easily
I really don’t understand all the positive reviews. This stopped working after a few months. First the battery didn’t hold and then we had to charge it after only a few minutes of playing with it each time. My kid loved this thing so we didn’t throw it out even though it got minimal use. We just found it after a year of not playing with it. Recharged it all night- and then of course after 10 minutes it stopped working again. You get what you pay for- this just does not last

Buen producto

Perfect except for charging
Got these for the kids for xmas. They love them. The cars flip and spin like crazy. They seem relatively well built. My only major complaint is about charging. You have to disconnect a wired quick-disconnect and physically remove the battery. Then the USB charger has a matching quick disconnect. These are going to break or wear out after ~100 uses, if I had to guess. It would be way better to have a barrel connector to charge. At least a spring loaded battery clip like AA batteries would be good. (I have some li-ion batteries in similar form factors. This would allow buying spares.)Compliments:+ The weight distribution is really nice for flipping.+ The spring-loaded flip-out wheels are an interesting idea.Otherwise, minor complaints are:- They're a little too fast to control easily indoors.- 3-4 hour charge for 30m of runtime is not great. I think we're getting more than 30m, though.- The LEDs are too bright or should get a diffuser; too much glare if they point at you.- Left/right drive is harder to master that thrust/steering.- I wish the controllers were different colors vetween the red and blue wheeled models. I bought the two colors to tell them apart.

Need to unscrew the car everytime you charge the battery
The items is good and working as expected but the drawback is charging the car battery.Everytime you want to charge the battery you need to unscrew, detach the battery from the car plug, connect that battery to the charging cable.Once the battery is fully charged, we need to do the same process in reverse which consume lot of time. And everytime you charge the car you need a screwdriver to unscrew and screw the battery panel.Little dispointed with the way we need to charge the battery.

Design for charging batteries could be better.
UPDATED REVIEW: I added 1 star because the manufacturer contacted me and said the missing battery was an updated model and they changed the description to reflect that. They also offered me a credit for the toy. Most of my original review still stands. Both the rechargeable battery and the included batteries need to be installed with a screwdriver, and every time you are done with the car you are supposed to take the rechargeable battery out with a screwdriver. This is so unrealistic for a child's toy. Lots of parts can be easily lost to make the car unusable, like battery covers, the little screwdriver, and the charging chord. Very poor design decisions for a child's toy. I will note that my nephew enjoyed it the day he received it.PREVIOUS REVIEW: The product description on this page says "...remote with 2 AA batteries included." Instructions from the product say "Uses 2x1.5V AA Batteries (Not Included)." On top of that, both the rechargeable battery and the included batteries need to be installed with a screwdriver, and every time you are done with the car you are supposed to take the rechargeable battery out with a screwdriver. This is so unrealistic for a child's toy. Lots of parts can be easily lost to make the car un-useable, like battery covers, the little screwdriver, and charging chord. Very poor design decisions for a toy.

**Updating my review**
Ok to be fair when I bought this and opened it up for my son less than a year and a half old he was SO stoked about this car.The sun wasn't down yet so I pulled all the blinds and pulled the blackout curtains so he could experience the magic. The lights on the car awesome fun and bright. The car itself sturdy and maneuverable. I will say for some reason the car just never can go straight for more than like 8 ft. Eventually it starts to take a turn.Though the battery on my first car konked out after a month and a half the company was kind enough to help me with a replacement which was awesome. My son now a year and a half, loves his car and usually hands me the controller for mama to drive it and he sits on my lap to watch. He totally gets a kick out of it and so do i.(First review)I purchased on Aug 30 so received it beginning of September. The battery within the car is already not holding a charge as of middle of October. It was such a fun toy at the start but my son is bummed every single time he wants to drive it. we can't use it any more. Less than 2 months of use. Need a replacement.

Battery door is difficult to open.
Product is fun and performs well. The rechargable battery is inside a cover that requires a screw driver to open and the battery needs to be removed to charge after 25 minutes of running. Very inconvienent. Srew diver is also required to replace transmitter battery but that batery lasts much longer so not a big problem
