June 2024 Discontinued by Panasonic; battery arrives 0%; non-US charger with adapter
Putting 3 stars because Amazon requires a rating but I didn't use the shaver.I really liked my prior 4-blade Panasonic, but this ES-RF31 men's shaver:1) is currently discontinued, even though the listing says it isn't2) arrived with 0% charge (unusual for installed lithium ion batteries in small goods)3) includes charger RE7-59 but with a non-US charger plug and an adapter to US two-prong outlets4) felt cheap vs my prior PanasonicMy existing RE7-59 charger (Intertek 3166535) with a US plug fits the shaver and the specified DC output on both appears to be the same. The good news:1) Amazon carries several reasonably-priced chargers2) there's one or two USB-to-Panasonic charging cable so you can lose one "brick"

Finally spoiled myself
I was finally able to spoil myself with a quality shaver. Very nice machine. If you’re thinking of replacing what you have; save your money until you can afford this one. Don’t throw away your cash on any more cheap shavers, save & get this one

Disappointed with closeness of shave
After reading reviews that Panasonic shavers deliver the closest shave of any brand, I am disappointed with the closeness that this shaver achieves. After thoroughly shaving with this shaver, I need to follow it with a shave from my $7.99 discount store Vivitar foil shaver which removes all the stubble and "sandpaper feel" that the Panasonic left behind. The Vivitar shaver is great as a "finishing" shaver but is hopeless at removing day-old stubble, so neither shaver is adequate by itself. This Panasonic seems to shave much more closely when used as a wet shaver than when used dry. Frankly, I had the same disappointment with my last $300 Braun shaver though. I wish Remington would bring back their original "close as a blade or your money back" Microscreen shaver which was cheap and noisy but really lived up to its claims - there has never been another shaver that has performed even remotely as well (at least none that I have found), and today's Remington shavers are nothing like the original Microscreen either. I'm also of the opinion that the more blades and foils these manufacturers pack into the shaver head (though they make the product look more sophisticated and command a higher price point), the worse the shaver actually performs. With today's technology you would think one manufacturer could deliver a shaver that handles both longer stubble and delivers a satisfyingly close shave, but that product seems to be elusive.

UK version sent to an American Address
I can't comment on the quality of the shaver because I could not use it; the AC connector was for the UK, not the US. There was an adaptor for the American outlet, but it was impossible to attach the adaptor to the UK plug. Thus, I had to return it before trying it. I can't understand why Panasonic would ship a product intended for the UK to an American customer. And by the way, the box was marked UK, in big letters on the outside.
