I got this mic mostly for Skyping with my friends while I play video games. I like to play without headphones, but I needed a better mic to prevent a feedback loop. This cheap mic has worked perfectly for me. It doesn't filter out 100% of the background noise, but it does a pretty good job. The directional filtering is strong enough that you have to be mindful of how you aim it. Overall the sound quality seems pretty good. I don't have all that much to compare it to, but it's worlds better than my built in laptop mic, and a great bargain for $15.

Took me a little while to get this mic set up correctly, but once I did, great bang for the buck. I had been using my webcam for its mic, which was terrible quality. Consistently had complaints about sound quality. I never have those complaints with this condenser microphone. I don't need to have it directly in front of me or even close to me. It typically sits about 1.5 - 2 feet away from me. off to the left and it still picks up great. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a very cheap yet effective microphone.

Great Mic. Very sensitive to any sound.Note, The plug is not a usb. It's a stereo 1/8" plug jack. (Like headphones or earbuds) therfore, laptops may need an adapter . It won't work with computers that don't have a pink mic input unless you buy a usb audio adapter.Amazon USB Audio adapter about 2-3 bucks.I love the little desk stand. The packaging looks cheap, as does the mics up close appearance. Looks ti be more of a stationary mic vrs a portable one that would get knocked around alot.Value, performance, and look is excellent.Perfect for recording music, speaking ,Recording, and stationary, everyday use.

couldn't connect it to my Mac desktop, but it works fine on my laptop. the sound is a bit "tinny" as most reviews say, but not half bad.

Honestly, not a bad mic.If you are looking for something beginner to start recording at home music or something. I could recommend this. Just make sure you have speakers plugged into your computer at the same time the mic is, or you probably won't be able to hear yourself.

I thought I'd be able to use it with Windows 10 speech recognition. It does not work for that unless, of course, when you say "Joe" and it enters "Tom" you're satisfied.

Quality product for the price, don't expect much for a microphone at this price but is effective at what it does and the stand is handy for some who have larger desk space.
