EXCELLENT BOOK FOR TAROT READERS AND ANY PERSON THAT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE ORISHAS
Very impressive the material and information in this book, I read several types of Tarot but this is wonderful, I am so glad the author made accessible all the information about qualities and characteristics of the Orishas not often available, I have been trying to learn about this religion for the practical purpose of learning this Tarot and use it with my clients as a variation to the conventional Rider deck.I did my research in Spanish books but for some reason people involve in the Santeria religion and divination think they have to be a high ranking "priest" to read Tarot and shells, all the information in this book is not available in Cuba, Mexico or South America, the bottom line is: they protect the income coming from readings and spells .The good news for us is that any person with this deck can perform an accurate reading even if you are not a High ranking priest in Santeria as some members of that religion wanted me to believe, they even tell you the Orishas punish any person out of their religion who perform readings using Orishas, so far my readings are accurate, and believe it or not "with the help of the Orishas" :)

Spiritually Pragmatic
This is my first Tarot card deck. As a Orisha devotee this deck spoke to me. It has helped me to connect the dots after divine consultation with my Babalawo Godfather and when asking questions with my warriors and Ifa. It has helped me tremendously with being concise about my intuition. I should say this deck doesn't speak for Orisha, only Orisha can speak for Orisha to a devotee or patron. However, it helps to understand the characteristics of the orisha in the same it would for a regular major arcana part of a tarot deck. It was intimidating at first because the card explanations are honest but they help tremendously for introspection, which in this life is always the best place to start before applying the root of problems toward external forces situations. I'm going to purchase an orthodox deck for more education on the use of this kind divination tool. I would recommend (although still a beginner) to start with self-readings first.

Beautiful, unique enriching
In developing my relationship with Creator, my Higher Self and my entire Spirit Tribe, this Tarot of the Orishas is such a beautiful addition to my soul family. As always, God's timing is always perfect and I was able to ritually charge my deck on the exact day, time, hour, minute! of a very important event in my life which enriched my relationship with the deck right from the beginning. I see and feel the difference, my aché in doing my own readings.

I really like this deck
I really like this deck. I connect to it. I find the person who created this deck to be a bit strange and unrelatable, you get a sense for it in the words he uses and sometimes in the way he describes the meaning of the cards. But there is something incredible here, if you can look straight into the meaning of these cards without being too angry that some African gods are depicted as white etc.I got this deck because I wanted cards that I could relate to, and I found that but I had to make peace with something's first. Enjoy!

Insightful and boundary-stretching deck
I was very interested to purchase this deck as I began my study of the Orishas. The cards are bright, easy to read and feel good in your hands. The images may take a little getting used to, but the powerful effect is worth working with the deck. I use this deck infrequently as I am still getting to know it, but what I've seen so far has been very valuable to me.

If you're from Africa... why are you white?
Word to Mean Girls because I really thought that a tarot of the ORISHAS—West African Gods—would be Black in the illustrations, but apparently not. It is truly sick of Zolrak to spend the intro of the book talking about slavery, which had a big effect on the evolution of these Ifa-related religions, only to completely whitewash all the female deities except for one.Why is Shango Black but Yemaya, the mother of all Orishas (who are, again *Black* Africans), white? It's giving erasure. It's giving red lips, white face paint, blue eyeshadow and a round, red nose. CLOWNERY.It boggles the mind but you cannot make sense out of colonizer nonsense. I got such bad vibes from this deck. It is an insult to our Black ancestors and the beautiful practices they refined for us to connect to the spirit world. Practices Zolrak refers to as "primitive" at one point, by the way.All this book and deck showed me is that once again, Black people, we need to gatekeep our religions. The ease and zeal with which Zolrak and his caucasian cohort completely erased the Blackness of all the female deities save for Oshun is beyond insulting.I get that religions like Santeria had to hide their deities behind the white saints, but baby it is 2021! Get it together! These traditions are Black and that should be reflected in the cards.Zolrak claims to be an initiate. With this disrespectful deck, I can tell the man wields no true power. He needs to stay in his lane and stick with Wicca or whatever the girlies were doing at Stonehenge because this is truly grotesque. I mean he even made Esu white? Seriously — Esu is giving black Irish (no shade to my black Irish cousins, of course) when he should be giving Black MAN.Such a disgusting shame, but a blessing in disguise because I instead bought a tarot deck from Jessi Jumanji, who is a Black artist and includes *actual* Africans in the artwork of her cards. I suggest y'all look elsewhere for decks bc this one is colonized to bbc.
