Easy to use and works great!
This stuff works. We have area rugs on tile that tend to move around so I tried ribbons of clear silicon on the rug backing and when that did not work I tried anti-slip material between the rug and the floor. All that did was to leave silicon oil residue on the floor I had to clean up. I taped off the backs of the rugs as I like things neat, applied two coats and let them dry over night. These rugs do NOT move.It was easy to apply and drys quickly. As you can see in the photo, by the time we finished applying on the left it was already dry on the right. It does have some odor but that goes away once it dries. Now I’m thinking of alternative uses for this.

Works great!
Super easy to apply. Works way better than I expected - the grip was awsome. It does have a really strong smell. But nothing I couldn't handle and I felt like it dissipated fast once dry. I did use almost a whole container for one smaller runner rug - so I had to buy a bunch more. It came off hand and paintbrush super easy.

Doesn't cover nearly what it claims, but it does work really well
I ordered this product after researching for something I could use on a small area rug. I thought sprays would be the best choice for coverage, but took a chance and ordered this one.I coated the back of a small 2'x3' rug last night, using a foam paint brush. It went on white, which was nice so I could ensure I got it applied evenly. It was the consistency of Greek yogurt, which worked well for spreading it and getting it in all the nooks and crannies in the fabric. I let it dry overnight, and this morning it was clear and rubbery. It works really well to keep my rug from slipping around, and it's bonded perfectly to the fabric on the back of the carpet. If it gets a lot of fuzz or dirt stuck to it, I will be able to spray it and wipe it clean again.I really like that it washed out of the paint brush with just water and soap, and that my rug only needed one thick coat. But I'm disappointed that the claims of "16-Ounce covers approximately 15-square feet based on 2 brush coats" is totally wrong. I have about 1/5 of the container left after one coat on a very small (6 sq ft) rug.I'd buy this product again based on the ease of application and the final results, but I'm knocking off one star for the overstated claims on the container.Edited May 2015: I'm still very happy with this product! I've used Windex and a rag a few times to clean the rubberized surface. It's still non-skid and it hasn't made the rug curl either.

Best backing I have ever used!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It was referenced in a rags to rugs video by Lora. This product works Great, it creates a non-slip backing on the rug and it is transparent so it works perfect.

Good for replacing old rubberized grips
I have four chair pads with a rubberized grip finish over foam. The fabric side is still in good condition, the bottom not so much! I really don’t like throwing things out unless they’re completely worn, so I thought this would be a good repair. I’ve had the pads for four years and with daily use, the rubberized finish has partially cracked and worn off. They have also lost their “grip” and they were sliding around on the wood dining chairs. I previously tried to cut rug grip material to hold them in place, and it worked for about a week and then they started sliding around again. Happy to say that yhis stuff seems to have done the trick! I used a rubberized art painting tool to apply it and it went on perfectly. I was able to seal in the exposed foam also, it was like frosting over a crumbling cake in parts. I let it dry in the sun, where it dried fairly quickly. I might add it to the bottoms of a couple of rugs that I have also, because they also have stopped gripping. I’d say give it a try if you’re at your wits end.I applied it outside, it had almost a musty smel like mushrooms, didn’t bother me. Didn’t smell toxic, as I feared it might. Cleanup was easy, I just wiped the art tool with a paper towel.Update: it’s still holding strong on the seat cushions, still grips like when I first put it on. I might add more to make them more textured and grippy. I did open the jar to use on the backside of a cotton bath mat to make it slip-proof and the remaining product had oxidized so was yellower than when I initially opened the jar. It was still useable, just a bit more yellowed and less liquid. I suppose this is normal. I still recommend it, but maybe do all of your projects in one go if possible.
