Changes: 7 Biblical Lessons to Make Sense of Puberty

This book is easy to follow and simple enough to read with my 11year old son. It’s a tough topic but this book helps to create great conversations. It is short and to the point. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to educate their kids on this sometimes hard to talk about but very necessary topic.

BUY THIS!!!! I will recommend this to anyone who will listen to me. Regardless of what type of Christianity you subscribe to, this covers puberty beautifully and without denomination bias. Just the facts and beautifully done. I am 41 and learned stuff. My kids, beyond the awkwardness at first, really liked it. It was factual, Word based, and to the point. No bells and whistles. What the science and and what God’s word says to back it.

For those of you who did not have a parent share with you the ins and outs of puberty, this is a lifesaver. It is an amazing tool and I highly recommend it! I used this one and the previous one with my child and it took the awkwardness out of going through these changes. Sadly, I also learned new information!! That tells you how good it is for those of us who didn't have parents to share with. I will use the next book by them as well. I can't say enough positive about this series.

Well put together. Biblical. Beautifully written. The authors are helping you foster a relationship of communication with your child. Well thought out conversation starters and questions. Our children while sometimes hiding their faces in embarrassment or being grossed out have asked great questions. As I said with the first book who knew these conversations could be edifying and a fond memory. While awkward for us at times our kids GENUINELY look forward to the study each night and can’t wait to start the next one when they are old enough. Which I think speaks VOLUMES about the study as the subject material could cause a much different reaction. Kudos Luke and Trisha!

Outstanding book! My pre-teen and I completed the book together and it went incredibly well. It’s designed to help the parent start the conversation and it also helps keep you on track. As parents the worst thing we can do is either not listen to our kids, or talk too much. I found this book gets right to the point, backs it up by Gods beautiful design and opens up time for conversation. It’s a must have for parents who want to talk to their kids about this topic based on biblical principals.

good read, quick and easy to understand

This is a short book - only 2-3 pages per lesson - which is just the right length for this age. It covers topics quite succinctly, and it does a wonderful job of really underlining the fact that our bodies are wonderfully made. My 10-year-old daughter (who recently heard some friends talking about things they had learned at school) was interested and seemed to get a clear understanding of the differences between men and women, as well as an understanding of sex and the fact that it is a very powerful act that should be between man and wife. I appreciated that rather than just quoting bible passages, it indicated which passages you should find in your own bible. I feel like the fact that she had to find the passages IN the bible really helped underline that these are God's messages. I feel like the material in here is not too much for ages 7-10, and my husband will be going through this with our 8-year-old son in the next couple months.

The lessons are short, informative and never over their heads. I never felt like it said something my child shouldn't hear. It included bible verses and reminded children we are created by God in his image. I think it will help kids be more comfortable with their body changes. I liked that it separated boys and girls info if you prefer to save opposite gender info for a little while.

This book has been helpful in facilitating conversations with our 11 year old. Both the tone and the content are appropriate.

This resource looked very comprehensive and thorough and a little wordy. We were looking for something a little simpler and more visual, so didn't meet our expectations. Probably more suitable for groups.
