Great replacement fan, comes with everything you need. Using ifixit tutorials I was able to switch out my switch fan. Working solid since purchasing this item.

Looks like the original fan that came out of the device. Easy switch (pun intended) and seems to work well.

Lots of tiny screws to undo, take old heatsink off, clean up old heat compound. Replace fan, couple of fiddly ribbon clips. Then re-apply the heat compound to re-stick it all back together, and make sure you check its spinning (i.e. fiddly clip is in properly) before you screw all those screws back in. Only things missing would be a plastic spudger (for fiddly clips and easing the sticky backed foam pads of the original fan) and several small pots to put the fiddly screws in to make it easier to rebuild. There are 3 different sizes of black screw in the outer case, but the internal bits all use the same size silver screw which makes it a bit easier. I would suggest turning it on and waiting to watch the fan spin once you have the silver inner case back on, before you replace the black outer case, just in case the fiddly clip didn't go in quite right.

Literally just fitted this fan using a YouTube video. Easy to fit if you’re vaguely technically minded and seems to have worked (no more loud buzzing and overheating).The only reason I’ve given 4 star (maybe a bit harshly) is that the Y wing screwdriver provided is terrible quality. I started trying to unscrew the back of the Switch (meticulously) and couldn’t unscrew, borderline stripping the screw. Had to stop and order a new screwdriver. The new one’s quality was night and day.So bear this in mind when purchasing this kit.If I don’t do a follow up review, means it all works well 😀

Fan looks perfect but it doesn’t work at all!! It has never once turned on even though it was installed perfectly. My switch is still over heating due to this replacement fan not working at all

Everything you need is included here. It took me a little over 10 minutes to dismantle my Son's Switch, clean the vents, remove the old heat transfer paste, install the new fan and paste, and resemble.Now it's back to super quiet operation.There are cheaper kits out there, but they all seem to be missing the paste, and it's absolutely essential when you have to remove the heatsink to gain access to the fan.

Works, silent, keeps the Switch cool, what more could you ask for? 👍

Son's switch kept overheatingThis fixed it. Was easy to install (instructions on You Tube) and was cheap. Highly recommended

I did a refresh of my switch a few months back and still haven't had any issues so far, it works great and is a bit more quiet than the stock fan i got on the switch's release.

The screwdrivers are not the best, but worked through the process. There is no guide so watch a teardown video online.My switch from 2017 made loud noices and got superhot. Now it's so silent that I can not hear the fan rotating or any sound at all. And it doesnt get warm to the touch anymore :)
