Works great for checking insulation of electric motors. I use it for refrigeration compressors.

I thought that I would use this a lot. I don’t use it a lot. I don’t use. It is bad if it’s your motor could put power to it don’t move is definitely bad or maybe you have a bad capacitor. If you have a meter and you know how to use it same thing it is a nice tool though

The meter works very well for megging out industrial motors. The LED readout is fairly accurate. Side by side comparison with a Fluke 1507 showed results that were close enough. I’m only checking for grounded motors anyway. The test leads could be better quality. The meter case seems fairly rugged and would withstand rigorous use. The case is very lightweight and flimsy. At best, the case would protect from dust and scratches. A thick rubber holster and better/longer test leads would make this meter perfect!

This tool saved our team a lot of time & it was accurate.

It's great to know that the compressor for my AC is in top running condition. It was easy to check once I took the top off of the unit.
