Damaged product. I received the square in a plastic bag, covered in shipping grease as expected. No issue with the grease, keeps it from rusting during shipping. My issue is with the clear damage to one corner of the square. Considering it was shipped in a light plastic bag I'm unsure if this was an issue during shipping or manufacturing.Does this damage affect the performance of the square? Maybe not, but it still not how I want to recieve a brand new square.Edit: Updating to 1 star. After further inspection this square is nowhere near precision as described. The square is unevenly mounted to the base, the mounting holes are unevenly drilled. This creates a visible slant in the square. The square is also not flat when placing on a granite surfacing block, there is noticlbe wobble when touching each end.I suppose you get what you pay for at this price. Would not recommend to anyone that needs actual precision.
