I was worried about this toy reading all the bad reviews. But I found this toy great to play with. You need to read the instuctions all the way through to understand it's true uses.My son loves this thing and I think it is very cool. I plan on getting another one of a different style to play against this one. You must read the instuctions to understand what it does. Test it on a flat surface like a kitchen floor and you will get what I mean. Every button has a purpose or control. The lights on the spinner show the strenght of the command given to the bey. There are 4 lights to gauge the strenght. Just respin the spinner when the lights go out to recharge and you can continue to control blade while it is still spinning. The spinner does control the bey only when the lights on the spinner are on. And make sure the 3 aaa batteries are in the right position. Positive and negitive. The spinner is already loaded with batteries. Also, if you put the blade on the floor not spinning and then use the spinner controls, it can give you a idea of what it is trying to due when it's spinning. Let it rip! Remember - it's a toy.

This is the power of marketing over substance. I think it is a waste of money but my grandson loves it.

Beware I bought two for my son both broke within 20 minutes, on both the buttons would not pop back out it was impossible operate one then died completely and lights on the other stopped working. I canot believe these products were tested by Hasbro before they went onto the market, a good idea wasted on an expensive poorly made product.

My daughter (11 y.o.) saved up her allowance to buy this. I'm not thrilled with her choice to spend $35 (she got it in a b&m store, on sale) on this, but it's her money. Anyway, she seems happy enough with it, but I swear, when she pushed a certain sound button, it sounds like it's saying "Kill him!" Has anyone else noticed this, or am I being hypersenstitive? I'm not sure that I'm happy about this, especially after what the thing cost in the first place. But again, my daughter is happy with it, so I'm going to let it fly. However, I think I will discourage any further expenditures like this one.

I had my reserves when I bougth this as a Christmas present for my kid. He loves Beyblades, has several of those. I tought he would love to have a "controlable" one. But when we staretd playing with it, we realized that it really didn't worked as it should. It just made some sounds, but didn't move as it said it should.

The Spin Galaxy is a lot of fun for kids. The control buttons allow you to minimally control the direction in which it spins (mostly to the left), but it also allows you to make it move faster and spin really fast, which is what my son finds the most fun. It also has several different sounds to it, depending on which button you push. My only caution is to make sure you only spin on a smooth surface because the bottom of the bey is very sensitive. There is a piece at the very bottom that moves in and out. If you spin it on a rough surface, it will cause it to get stuck on the inside.

My grandson slipped this on in on me. Even a 12-year old can come to his grandpa with something he wants and Amazon has. Hollis Biddle
