It really works!
This thing is amazing! I was using two lady Venus blades per month. Those things get dull quick and cause razor burn. I started using the Razor Renew two months ago and have used the same razor since then. Shave is as smooth as a new blade. Just make sure you dry the blade first. Considering the shorter one for travel.

Old school!
I use this in an attempt to straighten/realign the edge on my safety razor. 2 strokes on each side of the razor on each side of the strop, suede side, then rough side. I got tired of paying for and throwing away overpriced gilette double/triple/quintuple blade razors and started using a safety razor over a decade ago. Love it. Sometimes the blades are hard to find. But now Amazon has them in large quantity. This strop does not sharpen your razor, but it supposedly straightens/realigns the edge a bit. Studies have shown that sharpening and stropping don't necessarily work, but I feel it does SOMETHING. What? I don't know. I have not scientifically tested the blade improvement and increased useful life of the blades, BUT it makes a great conversation piece, and feels Old School, which I like. I have not yet tried it on other small blades. If I get an extra week's shave out of my blades on each side for the next 10-20 yrs, I'll be fine with this purchase. It goes well with my shaving brush, mug, and safety razor, and black comb. I have it bolted to the wall next to the sink.

Eliminates irritation from worn blades.
Tried this with an already fairly worn Harry's blade. Been noticing that Harry's blades, while great out of the box, quickly lose their edge. After only a few shaves the blades start to create some irritation after the shave. With the Razor Renew this has stopped!!!! And I started with a fairly worn blade so I can only assume that with a fresh blade it will perform even better. Even if it doesn't extend the life of the blade, which I assume it will, it makes for a way better shaving experience. My face thanks you!!!!
