Bait and switch for a cheaper variety
Phoenix Dancong tea refers to tea grow in the regions of the Pheonix Mountain. Like wine, different regions produce different kinds of tea. Some are good quality; others are cheap variety. I was excited when I purchased this tea, you can see the attached picture that it was shown as a special variety call yā shǐ xiāng. However, I was so disappointed when I received the package. It was not yā shǐ xiāng, but just a general Pheonix tea, which I can get for a much cheaper price. Since this item is non-returnable, the sellers just picked my pocket and I am stuck with this cheap tea. Buyer beware. Not all teas are the same.

No dan cong flavor or aroma.
Dan cong teas are usually very expensive. Perhaps it is not surprising that a dan cong this inexpensive has none of the peachy or orchid notes of a good dan cong. No matter how I brew it the taste is flat and sweet, although it does have a good viscous mouthfeel Or perhaps it is just stale despite being listed as less than a year old.

You'd be better off buying teabags than this looseleaf tea
This product is NOT Dan Cong oolong. Even gonfu brewing yielded a poor tasteless tea. It is absolutely flavorless. No smell at all either. Certainly no orchid detected whatsoever. I was absolutely disappointed to spend money on this and feel completely ripped off. You're better off spending your money on teabags than this tea.

Weak tea.
This is some weak tea following their directions in brewing it. There is no way that you will brew it up to 3 times as they claim. Again, they claim a light orchid aroma and a sweet after taste. I did not find this to be true. It has more of a grassy smell.

Good, Flavorful Tea
I bought Oolong tea because I was looking to expand my tea drinking horizons, and I bought this specific brand because it was a good price. The tea is much more holistic than other teas I have purchased. The leaves are not crushed or otherwise reduced in size like with other teas and brands. The color and flavor are not as robust as with other teas I am used to drinking. The color is not opaque but more of a orange-brown color. The flavor is subtle. Not at all displeasing but more muted than what I am used to.
