Highly recommend! Generator works perfectly!
Best fuel fuel for the money!!!! Amazon expertly delivered on this offering a lifeline in a time of desperate need. Followed a devastating tornado without electricity for weeks. We had already bought 2 from other local retailers that were the last display models ( from prior returns) and were actually broken (or had a depleted battery) and the other retailers refused the returns. So we were ambivalent to buy yet a third but decided to go for it. Within minutes it was up and running and we are saved from the heat and can run a load of laundry. Can’t say enough of how grateful this makes us!

Saving grace
Four days without power. Had a small solar generator got us thru somewhat but not great for long term use takes to long to recharge on solar not enough power for our needs. This generator was saving grace for us on 4th day looks like it could be at least a week. Thanks for helping us through this rough spell.

Great power source
We keep this at the off grid camper. Does what it says. Never had any issues. Have over 700 hours on it.

Good stuff
Seems like a quality product at a decent price. Need one up here in WNC mountains. Amazon truck out of Charlotte delivered it in spotless condition. Driver, Paul and assistant, Jenny are great employees!

Read the manual carefully
We ordered this to cope with the power outage and flooding in East TN. It shipped a day sooner than anticipated and although the box was a little roughed up the unit came undamaged. It's important to read the manual and watch a couple of YouTube videos before you do anything. Otherwise assembly is easy. It comes with the correct amount of oil and a funnel. The battery needed charging so we had to manually pull start it. Put on full choke gave three pulls, waited a few moments and repeated this. Then we moved it to a halfway point (it clicks into place) between choke and run (its actually 75% choke according to the manual). Started right up. We ran it 4 hours solid on propane and the battery charged. Cut the engine and let it cool, then ran about an hour and a half on gasoline. Follow the break-n instructions for first five hours, (plug in different wattages of use to vary the load and change the oil after five hours). So far so good but after 11 days of outage the power came on the day before the generator arrived. After this experience, the generator is a keeper for, God forbid, the next time. I would definitely recommend this machine and suggest relying more on the propane option as we found you can find propane during these events much easier than you can find gasoline.

Compact and reasonably price for recharging house batteries
I live pretty far from the grid, and frequently lose power each year but typically not more than a day. I got this to recharge my Anker F3800s when an outage exceeds two days. I basically use the F3800 and Solix Home Power Panel as a house UPS. It lets me recharge them on propane at their full 1800W recharge rate if they deplete before the grid comes back online. There was a couple extra bolts & nuts in the shipping container that was not identified as being included/required, but after going through the assembly with a fine tooth comb I couldn't find any missing hardware so fingers crossed it doesn't fall apart.Otherwise it assembled easily enough and once the nearly dead battery was recharged, it fired right up on propane and now sits ready for the next major outage. I did add a maintainer connection to the battery to make sure that it's always ready.

UNSTABLE FREQUENCY/RPM UNDER LOAD NOT USABLE FOR OFF GRID BACKUP OR ELECTRONICS, NO WARRANTY SUPPORT
The media could not be loaded. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT TO POWER ELECTRONICS OR AS A BACK-UP GEN FOR A SOLAR HOME. I purchased this product to backup and charge batteries in an off-grid solar home in December 2021. The inverter would not accept generator input and for the short periods that it did connect, there were problems with the electronics in the home (Leds flickering, Fridge turning off, problems with phone and PC). Initially, we didn't know if the problems were the generator of the system charge controller. After testing by an expert, the conclusion was that the generator frequency changes with load. With no load the frequency is almost steady with only 50-100 rpm motor fluctuations. For any load above 900 W or7 amps AC, frequency jumps from 58-65 Hz. For higher loads, the generator is unstable and the system charge controller at the home disconnects. Champion was notified and sent a video of the problem. After much stalling, and demands that we carry out "tests" they sent us to their local authorized service rep, who did routine maintenance, didn't fix the problem, and charged me $100. Finally, AFTER A YEAR, I was informed that this model "is not an inverter model" (no where does it state that in the sales information). A video of the generator under light load is included. A previous Champion that I purchased in 2016 worked fine with my inverter. NOTE THAT IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS THIS COMPANY DOES NOT HONOR IT'S WARANTEE AND DOES NOT STATE THAT THE GENERATOR IS NOT AN "INVERTER MODEL". Wish I had returned it when the problem was first noticed, before Amazon support stopped! I hope to take the case to small claims court in NM when I return.
