Very impressed. Easy to use, even with our big dog. We got the results in a week and even though our dog is a rare breed, and also has some very low percentages of other rare breeds, it all came back as we expected - but great to confirm our thoughts on what she is.

I’ve spent a long time trying to find appropriate test for my dogs as they are rescues from Eastern Europe and I was super curious to know what breed they are. I decided to get a wisdom panel and do a little trial on one of my dogs before I invest in getting another 2 tests. The test came super fast and the process of collecting DNA was quick and easy, I received the results in less than 2 weeks since posting it back which I think is very impressive. The results were amazing. Firstly he is 1/4 an central Asian Shepard dog which was our guess, but there is no retriever in him, which was our second guess. Instead he’s a combination of fascinating breeds I would have never guessed. My favourite part was to see how strong his DNA is with no genetic diseases markers and the part about the looks. It not only helps in having no doubts that this is a genuine test (I was still worrying about it as the price is so low!) but also really made a difference for me as my dog was mistreated and has no ears and no tail. I cried when I found out he would have had floppy ears and long bushy tail. How lovely is to have that answer. I immediately ordered further 2 tests for my other dogs. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Done 3 of these now for my rescue dogs and they're great, it's fun to find out their DNA and breeds but also can help with identifying why they behave the way they do, the best ways to train them, offer breed-specific outlets for them as well as the genetic health analysis bringing some peace of mind to this stressy dog guardian! If your dog is a bit shy or nervous, it can be harder to do get the swab in the right place to take the sample but I do a couple pretend tries and offer treats before doing it for real, so far haven't had to retake a test or had any issues with this. Just bear in mind they shouldn't have eaten for a couple hours before taking the test so do your practice runs earlier with something that resembles the swab, give them their treats and take a break before doing the actual test. Two of the dogs I've tested were Romanian street dogs so I can't really comment on the accuracy for them as honestly who knows but one had 18 different breeds, the other had 23, and the vast majority of the breeds identified definitely made sense. My UK rescue I tested as we'd been told he was a GSD but he just didn't look fully GSD, well I was right and it came back half GSD and the other half a mix of mostly saluki and greyhound and tiny amounts whippet and bedlington terrier. Honestly spot on. I'd said from day one he looks like a GSD x lurcher and well, Wisdom Panel proved it! One dog I upgraded to premium and when the behaviour traits came out later on for him, they were spot on! It made all the behaviour modification we'd done to overcome his generalized anxiety, separation anxiety and fear of people that much sweeter knowing he had genetic factors playing a part in his earlier struggles. I'm happy with what I paid for the essential tests while on sale and if I still had just one doggo, I'd do premium again but it can get expensive doing it for more than one pooch. Happy to say, so far all my dogs genetic health tests have come back clear and working in a vet clinic, the main ones I wanted to know about was the MDR1 gene and blood clotting disorders, which thankfully Wisdom Panel checks for and my big floofs are all clear.

My dog was abandoned as a young pup years ago, and I took him on. Our personalities clicked immediately, and we instantly became inseparable. I've never had such a proud and handsome looking dog, with people regularly stopping me to ask about his breeding. It's always been a mystery; much speculation was definitely on border collie, and then possibly doberman, rottweiler or Labrador mix.. maybe a little bit of hound in there. Results show a 44% border collie with 29% Labrador retriever, 11% Siberian husky, and 6% rottweiler.. lower % on a couple of other breeds. Knowing my dog, his drive to work, intelligence, trainability, loyalty, fun-boy personality and his tendency to vocalise when he interacts, everything in this test makes perfect sense. I would recommend it if you don't know your dogs lineage, as a great bit of fun and insight.. the health screening is a big bonus, with my boy thankfully clear of any notable genetic issues. Turnaround time for test was very quick.. less than 2 weeks, with a bank holiday in the middle of it.

Took 3 attempts with the swabs but got there in the end. However the company pesters you non stop with emails asking you to pay more for more details. Every single day even after you got the results

Brilliant results. Didn't send any photos with the samples just so they didn't have any clues! Comprehensive and interesting reading. Our puppy is a Romanian rescue, approx 7kg but other than that we know nothing. I was convinced there was Dachshund in him because of his face and little turned out paws. There was 16% Dachshund! But more amazing was that there was Pit Bull, Boxer and Alasatian in him too! The medical reports were interesting as were the traits he was suspected to have. It was pretty much spot on from his dark muzzle to his fan tail! Very easy to take the swabs. Puppy wasn't fazed at all. Very clear instructions. Was about 2.5 weeks from receiving the pack to getting the results back. Very impressed!

I was slightly sceptical as to whether this was ‘legit’ but was desperate to know what other breeds may be present in my dog so I bit the bullet and ordered a test kit. The results have recently come back and the predominant breed is exactly what we bought him as, despite me not declaring what we believed he is, which tells me the test and subsequent results are 100% legitimate and genuine. The rest of the results were truly fascinating. Some real surprises and even information on his relatives as well! So simple to swab and send off and you are kept up to date with progress throughout. Already recommended to family and friends who have now bought test kits for their dogs too. Very pleased with this product.

I have 3 dogs all on this database. The first one I had tested is an old tyme bulldog Bear, with NEBBr papers. I wanted him tested because I was hoping to breed depending on health test results. Results were perfect and the breeds that make up an old tyme bulldog were as expected, British Bulldog, mastiff , pitbull. Was happy. Next I tested my Female called Sweetie, She is bully X shar pei. Again, results came back as expected and all health tests were clear, a happy customer . Fast forward a bit, we had a beautiful litter of pups from which I kept a little female called B. I had her tested again with wisdom panel but spent a bit extra and went for the more extensive testing kit. Health results perfect again, so happy about that, but the family tree was baffling. According to B's family tree her Mother Sweetie was a shar pei bully mix, correct. BUT her Dad Bear also came up as a Shar pei bully mix ??? I'd already had him tested as mentioned and nowhere did Shar Pei show in his lineage so how come now it suddenly pops up out of nowhere only on his Daughters profile but not his own ? Doesn't make sense and I contacted Wisdom Panel about this. They told me The family Tree in the Ancestry section is only a theoretical pictorial depiction of what the ancestry would look like and does not scientifically indicate which parents would be carrying what breeds. I was happy with Wisdom panel but now I'm a bit dubious , I would recommend for the health testing only.
