It works good
Bring your bumpers and trim back to life. Easy to apply works incredible. First time I used it, just pushing two years before I had to reapply.

1 Application 2 Years Ago, Still Looks Great!
UPDATE 21 Months After Application, 5/28/20: I have never reapplied and it still looks great! I'll bet if I reapplied now it might darken the black a little (the Florida sun and rain are brutal) but there's definitely not any visible fading at all - not patchy or streaky in the least. Just black trim still - amazing! Original Review, August 2018: Was Nervous But SO HAPPY with the Result! This is exactly what I've been wishing existed instead of the silicone crap I've always used! I am a person who reads way too many reviews before making a purchase, and especially did for this since I'm basically permanently painting the trim of my car and there's no room for "oops, I don't like this." But I was looking for something permanent, since the silicone application stuff never lasts more than a week in the Florida sun and rain. This definitely seems to be that! The product is like a very thin paint, kind of like ink. Be careful, it will absolutely paint anything it gets on, including the paint of your car, your hands, driveway, etc. But that's a good thing too - I used it on the bumpers, trim around the windows, running boards, door handles, and even the metal of my windshield wipers where it had worn and was showing silver through. This stuff goes on anything. My Nissan Xterra's trim was originally GREY, not even black, but now that I'm done it's a gorgeous, deep, even black like I bought all new trim pieces (which might have been easier, but much more expensive). I'm so happy with the way it looks! It did take a LOT of time, but I'm a perfectionist. I was worried about the streaking people warned about in the reviews, and when you're putting on the first and even the second coat you definitely can see the brush strokes, but when it cures after a day or two you can't see them anymore. I did put on two coats all over and still have more than half of this 6oz bottle left. I didn't believe it would go so far on my big SUV, even after reading that in reviews, but it's true. Some application tips: 1. Don't skip washing the car really well before application. I washed it thoroughly by hand using lots of dish soap, and there were still a couple of small places where the silicone stuff I applied 7 months ago hadn't come all the way out and the Forever Black couldn't penetrate as well. After it had time to cure a day or 2 they're barely noticeable and it still looks tons better than the old faded car I had before. 2. Block out the day to do it - it's a tedious project but well worth the time. Also, find a shady spot so it doesn't bake in before you can smooth it out. 3. Keep a few wet cloths around to clean up spots where you hit the paint of your car IMMEDIATELY. It WILL paint anything and everything black. It's also a great idea to mask off the areas with tape. I didn't do that, I used cardboard and a wide putty knife, and the wet cloths were still used quite a lot. 4. Pick one direction to apply the first coat and after it's dry apply the second coat the other way (left-right vs. up-down). This will help minimize the visible brush strokes. 5. Decide what details you are and aren't painting before you start - I got to the honeycomb grate on the front and realized I should have just left that whole area grey cause it was more trouble -and Q-tips- than it was worth. Also, now that I'm "done" I'm seeing that I need to go back and do the roof rack to match, which I didn't leave time for the first round. Obviously I love this product and I love my car even more now that it doesn't *look* like it's 15 years old! Now I just really hope it lasts through the brutal sun and daily hour of thunderstorms of the Florida summer. I'll update my review when/if it does.

Awesome product!!!
This is a 2006 Dodge Dakota that has been in the Florida sun for almost 20 years. The 2 before pictures look like the original color was gray but it's a faded black. The after photos are with 2 coats of this product, and it took between 30 and 40 minutes to mask and apply the 2 coats. It's very easy to apply as it is a stain and not any kind of paint. I would recommend applying each coat with the brush strokes in opposite directions. It cleans up easily with soap and water but I would definitely use a drop cloth. I'll probably give it one more coat tomorrow, but I'm perfectly happy if this is the final look. PS the clear headlights are also a DIY project with Meguiar's Two Step Headlight Restoration Kit also from Amazon.

Works great! But don't expect factory brand new results
This stain worked really well. As others mentioned, it does leave slight streak marks, even with the applicator they provided. This is why I'm not giving it a 5 star. But I honestly think that it's barely noticeable from a glance. Overall, it really made my vehicle look much better because there were a lot of faded areas and this made it look nice and black. If you are a perfectionist and want it to look factory new, then i suggest buying a new bumper. But if you own an older/worn vehicle that you are trying to make look presentable and cosmetically appealing, it's totally worth it. I suggest cleaning the bumper and wiping down with isoproponal or ethanol to remove any dirt and prepare the bumper for the stain. I question if many of the low star reviews did this. I only did mostly one coat and i'm quite happy with the results. The front bumper had 2 coats because the stain itself is not purely opaque. I would equate this product to auto touch up paint: Does it look factory new? -no, but does it improve the overall cosmetic look?-absolutely.

Works great and went on easy
overcast was perfect for today's project 👍👍 did both my Hyundi Tuscon & Jeep Wrangler ‐ jeep had the most noticeable results and so happy with the results 😍 lots of prep work but end results are worth it It did not come with instructions, so here ya go Step 1) wash vehicle with dawn dishsoap Step 2) use acetone on the areas you will be putting dye on, just wipe it on - it drys very quick and make the dye more absorbent Step 3) tape off anything you do not want to get dye on - I used painters tape Step 4) park in shade - use rubber gloves - shake bottle for 2min, apply liberally with a wax pad or sponge. make sure you go in one direction to eliminate streaking I think I did pretty good considering I am a first timer at this 🙌🥰😬🚙

3 weeks after application still great
Went on easy with patience. I cleaned areas for application with a pressure washer and denatured alcohol and got great results. BUT it will make a mess if you're not careful. It took two days after application for it to completely dry and stop rubbing off when scuffed or touched. Warning! Clean up any mess immediately as you apply it, or you will regret it. 3 weeks after application, it still looks great on a vehicle parked outside, uncovered, in the sun and rain. As of now, it does not transfer to shoes or fingers if touched or rubbed, and water still beads up on the few horizontal surfaces. I applied a heavy brushed-twice coat to all black trim, bumpers and mirrors on a 2009 compact SUV (Mazda tribute/Ford Escape) and I estimate I have enough left to do the entire vehicle again. I am not sure if letting it cure and applying a second coat would be of any benefit or if it would even adhere properly. I am overall thrilled with the product, but I have limited experience with other products.

As described, it revived my black plastic that was discoloured due to a reaction with a harsh degreaser. Took a few applications. But seems to be holding up well!

I didn't use it, the liquid was black, I wanted to apply it to grey plastic, this would not have worked for me. I returned it.

I will never have to fear again about not being able to properly fix interior door scuffs on my trim or dash. With a wet cloth buff out the raised plastic scuff and then go over it with this product! It’s blends well and looks like you never had a scratch in the first place. Forget about using heat guns! I did my exterior trim as well which most people use this for, to bring life back to their pieces. Works just as well. Thank you who ever made this product, I love it.
