I can't knock the quality of the product because I didn't get to use it. But it looked to be pretty good. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. But then again, I'm not a plumber and didn't really know what I was looking for when searching for this type of product.For the layman, the 3/4" measurement is the inner diameter of the threaded male portion. This means you can fit a 3/4" PVC pipe INSIDE (there's no thread on the inside). The outer diameter seems to be about 1-1/4" with thread. I was looking for something to put into the side of a rain barrell and then hook a standard garden hose to. As the outer thread is larger than a standard hose, I wasn't able to use these, so I returned them.

Id like to address the other comments regarding-- its not 3/4", it's not the right size, I couldn't use them....The term slip means not threaded, smooth pipe joints, female and male, intended for glue. So the 3/4" slip is the inner diameter, the smooth surface interior will accept a 3/4" pvc pipe. You can alternately choose to glue it with pvc glue, or not. The exterior pipe threads are intended only for the bulkhead locking nut.The product is excellent

The PVC doesn't fit snug so I had to use glue. It also has an issue sealing.

Cheap!!!!! Don’t buy!!! 3 of the four when you try to tighten them and get them tight so they don’t leak they pop off the thread and loosen again. Buy lifeguard aquatics or another brand

I’ve been using 6 of these for over 6 weeks now and haven’t seen even a single drop leaking from any of them. I’m only using the included rubber gaskets between the fitting and the container, and PVC cement between the fitting and the pipe.
