Philips Lumea Comfort IPL Hair Removal System, Professional Results at Home

I started using the Philips Lumea Comfort about a month ago (only 2 times). I have tried laser hair removal before and it worked wonders on me (I'm latina with very dark hair and medium-light skin tone), but after I completed 8 sessions, which is the minimum recommended, I noticed the hair wasn't completely gone, so I started looking for more of a maintenance kind of thing instead of spending all that money on LHR. I talked to some people about IPL, specifically about what machine to purchase and the two people I asked recommended the Philips Lumea: both of them had been using it and fell in love with the results, so I decided to give it a try.I must say, even though I had LHR before, I thought IPL was going to hurt. I had a tough time with laser, it was very, very painfull for me, especially the first three or four sessions so I was afraid I would end up not using the IPL because of the pain. I THINK I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE WRONG! I'm using level 3 now and I can't feel the slightest sting, even on areas in which I had not used LHR before. It gets a little hot, though, but other than that, BONUS POINTS! I don't know if this is a common symptom, but after I use the IPL machine my skin gets very sensitive, but I always use aloe (just as recommended with LHR) after every use and it usually does the job. I haven't experienced redness or rashes using it so that's also something to be happy about. Even though I've only used it twice, I'm already seeing some results, especially in the previously LHR-treated areas, but also a little bit on other areas. I have yet to see if it works just as good as LHR on those areas, but I'm hopeful.It is also very confortable to hold. I thought I would have trouble reaching some spots like the back of my legs, but I didn't have a problem. Another good thing is that the cord is pretty long, which also helps with reaching difficult spots.I know I still need to try this machine out for a couple more sessions. I will update my review taking my future results in consideration, but as of now, I LOVE IT.

I specifically selected this product because of the advertised 180 trial period. However, when I tried to return it Amazon had closed the return window before the 180 trial period ended.I want to return it, because it doesn't work well. It does not provide the professional results it touts. I have ingrown hairs all over my legs. It doesn't zap the hair producing cell, only stops the hair from growing to the surface of the skin.

I wanted this to work so badly. Really I may not have given it the time needed to take effect. I didn't want to get stuck with a 200.00 laser hair remover that did nothing for me. I used it for around 30 days. This is my first time ever using a laser hair remover. I did notice that I could smell the hair burning when I used it, but my under arms are the only place I actually seen the hairs fall out. I noticed when I would apply my deodorant the next day after use. I really bought this for my facial hair that I have do to over active hormones. I hated the fact I had to shave before use. This caused me to have ingrown hairs when the hairs that were supposed to have been burnt from the laser grew back. I never noticed anything happen on my legs except for next day I had burns in a few spots. I also didn't like the way my skin felt after using this on my neck, it made my skin tough and rough. I have very dark hair and medium skin tone and used the product on the highest setting every week. Over all I didn't like it, but it could be that I didn't use it long enough to work the way it's supposed to. I just found it to be to time consuming between flashes, and being a women I hated that I had to shave my face before use. The design of the product was very nice good size for your hand to hold and easy to use. The packaging was also nice and well written easy to follow directions/ instructions. It just didn't work for me. I had bought an ePen for like 50.00 and actually found it to work better on my facial hair, never used it on my body because of the small size of spots it would do at a time (like a hair at a time.)

I purchased this product 3 months ago so I feel I have a fair idea now of what it is about. Firstly, the product arrived on time and was packed safely in an original box with a 2-year Philips warranty inside. I read the instruction and followed their recommendations - at least 2-week intervals between the treatments. Having had done IPL at professional salons before, I felt safe to use it the highest intensity level. After 2 months of regular use, I noticed some effect on my legs but barely any in my armpits. That prompted me to do 1-2 treatments at a time for that body part. It is something they do NOT recommend in the manual so I was fully aware I was doing that on my own risk. I have been doing that for a month now and the results are amazing! I feel I will need only few more treatments before unwanted hair will disappear completely :)I think that this IPL lamp is definitely not as strong as the one used at professional beauty salons. But hey, its price makes up for that! And if the lamp crashes within 2-years, you can contact Philips and they will replace it (not first-hand experience, just what they say in the warranty). I think it is a great deal (bought it for $180 which is the cost of 1 treatment session at a salon).

Esta depiladora es excelente en cuanto a funcionamiento, calidad y precio, recomiendo ampliamente leer las instrucciones antes de usarla ya que lleva una serie de pasos que son indispensables para su buen funcionamiento. Despues de 2 meses de uso he notado adelgazamiento del bello en general. La recomiendo.

Lo pude usar bien unía mess , después ya no quema el vello! Donde puedo conseguir el repuesto porque ya volvió a crecer como si nunca la hubiera usado . Necesito comprar repuesto, donde lo consigo?

Llego perfecto, y el envio fue rapido. Aun no veo resultados ya que apenas lo he usado una vez pero se ve bien, el pulso se tarda en estar listo y es frustrante presionar el boton y que no salga pero supongo que es debido al sensor que trae.
