Does the job well
This definitely does the job well. It is comfortable other than the neck strap. I wish they designed it with the loop that goes around the shoulder instead of putting pressure on the side of the neck. Other than that, it’s very adjustable and comfortable.

The Only Sling You Need
I bought and tried a few others including the Donjoy Pro and this UltraSling III was my favorite. For rotator cuff surgery I wanted a simple sling with easy connectors that I can remove and reattach without assistance and the others were too unnecessarily complicated with extra parts and annoying velcro that sticks to everything. After surgery you don't want a fight to put on your sling. If you want a smooth and quick process this model is it. The support is great without the weight and the straps are no discomfort. Sure, I wish the shoulder strap and neoprene pad stayed aligned better, but it's no dealbreaker. I'm two weeks post-surgery wearing this sling 24/7 on my good arm and removing and reattaching is a breeze using my clumsy left arm. Just do so while seated on an armless chair, bench, or bed using your lap as a table and practice once before surgery.

Just what the doctor ordered!
This product was just what the doctor ordered. I recently had surgery to repair a torn rotator cup and was in a sling for 4 weeks and to ensure that I didn't move my shoulder from my body& to be able to sleep comfortably, my doctor recommended that I sleep in a recliner or with my back propped up by pillows. This product was easy to assemble, it was very comfortable it is served its purpose.I will recommend this product to anyone who may have back problems or need to sleep with their legs elevated because this product allow me to sleep much better during my recovery process and also help alleviate a lot of the pain that I was having in my lower back when trying to read and/or sleep.

Donjoy III is the Best!
The Ultra Sling III is so much better than the II. We bought this after my husband broke his clavicle (Thanks to Prime for the quick delivery!) to get him out of the barely supportive blue one that the hospital gave him.Since this was the second time he's broken it, we knew what to expect. The bolster is *highly* useful. He used it below the arm for extra support until his surgery (where they place the bolster liked in the photo - it's better for circulation & relaxation of the shoulder muscle).Back to the III VS. II: This one breathes. It's made with a mesh - way to clean, quick to dry. The II only has a felt-like material for the entire sling which doesn't breathe and looks like it wouldn't dry as fast (we got to compare as the Dr office was going to give us a II though insurance, but when we compared the two, the III. was far superior).Otherwise, all the gear is the same (the ball is for hand exercises/stability to prevent blood clots/improve circulation - squeeze for 3-5 minutes, 3-5 times a day).

Crease in material near wrist resting position
There is crease (raised abnormality) in material where my wrist fits in the sling. This crease (which I didn’t initially feel due to having a nerve block in place after shoulder surgery) caused my hand and fingers to go numb and turn white and blue due to the pressure on my nerves running through my wrist. This condition was quite scary and is now still resolving at five months post op.

Did not work for me.
This stabilizer sling, worn to ease the wearer through post shoulder surgery, is far more comfortable then the one I was given at the hospital following surgery. However, the mechanism that enables you to release the sling when you need to take it off requires far more strength than I have in either hand. I had to return it.
