An Exceptional Read: Bridging Archaeology and Faith
I recently had the pleasure of reading through this book, and I can't recommend it enough. This book not only addresses the age-old question of whether archaeology aligns with Scripture, but it does so in a compelling and well-researched manner. Kramer's approach, using Scripture as the primary ancient text and interpretive tool, adds so much depth to the discussion. He meticulously examines the archaeological records of locations mentioned in the Bible, and his ability to present this complex information with clarity is truly commendable. The inclusion of numerous photos, maps, graphics, and illustrations further enhances the reader's understanding. What I found most captivating about this book is how it goes beyond simply proving the historical accuracy of the Bible. Kramer delves deep into the Gospel significance of these ancient sites, reminding us that these seemingly unimportant places were the very stage where the story of redemption unfolded. It's a powerful testament to the enduring impact of these locations for believers. He also speaks the truth, with as many false prophets that have started to become more prevalent, I’m thankful for his ability to keep the faith once passed down and doesn’t tickle our ears with fables fit for old women. If you're seeking answers to questions about the Bible's historical accuracy and the alignment of archaeology with Scripture, "Where God Came: The Archaeological Evidence" is a must-read. It's a book that not only provides evidence proving the Bible's authenticity but also weaves a rich narrative of God's redemptive presence in history. This is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the intersection of faith, history, and archaeology. Thank you, I do hope you’ll write more, we love the YouTube channel as well.

An Absolute Must-Read for Bible and Archaeology Lovers!
As a self-proclaimed Bible geek and archaeology nerd, I cannot say enough good things about Joel Kramer’s Where God Came Down! This book is everything I hoped for and more — it’s like an extension of his fantastic YouTube videos, packed with rich insights, stunning photos, maps, and evidence that beautifully supports the biblical account. Kramer doesn’t just skim the surface; he dives deep into ten key biblical locations, showing how archaeology confirms Scripture, not contradicts it. If you’ve ever wondered whether the ancient record backs up God’s redemptive story, this book will blow you away. It’s perfect for teachers, students, Holy Land travelers, or anyone wanting to strengthen their faith with solid, evidence-based reasons to trust the Bible. I’m thrilled to have this resource on my shelf — it’s engaging, eye-opening, and a total joy to read. Five enthusiastic stars!

NO OTHER BOOK LIKE THIS ONE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Very well done! I love the format and layout of this book. It reminds me of a detailed text book! The pictures show perspective of how far distance lands are from each other. It gives the reader an idea of how far travel one area is to the other. Most of all, you can tell that Joel Kramer put his heart and soul into this book, which is MORE than a book! Not sure if I can afford to ever go to visit these sites in the future, but at least this book can bring it to you. I love the history and knowing more intimately about our Lord Jesus and where he walked. Also, that our Father's Word in the Bible is authentic!

Favorite book for Biblical Archaeology
Great read with detailed Biblical references as well as detailed history of previous digs and layers that appeared at each of these sites through history. Great illustrations. Author also has a great YouTube channel well worth the time. I've purchased three or four copies as gifts for friends. If you enjoy archaeology, its a must read.

Fascinating!
I watched all but a few videos of the author’s Expedition Bible channel on YouTube. Because I watched so many of his archaeology videos, I kept telling myself I didn’t need the book, but as I started running low on his content to watch then I grew curious about the book. It is more in depth than the videos, and what’s fun is being able to look at all the maps and pictures without end, studying them with time and care, comparing different views of Israel and the archaeological locations. It helped me have an understanding how close things are there, and to see how layers upon layers of biblical events took place at just one location. For example, one of his videos might cover an altar or the ruins of a city, but the book goes further to connect all the different events that happened in one location (such as on Mount Moriah and the layers of events that occurred there, from Abraham, to David, to Jesus, and to the current Temple Mount). The author’s heart to connect archaeology with the salvation story is astounding. He explains profound things with such clarity. I found myself getting emotional and just praising God for how incredible He is for weaving the redemption of mankind through time and preserving it for those who have the heart and mind to seek it out. What a gracious, phenomenal God we serve. There is none like Him! Mr. Kramer, thank you so much for taking the gifts God gave you, along with the place and circumstances He set you in, and faithfully putting together a book like this! I got to visit Israel, a longtime dream of mine, through your videos and this book. I am excited to see if you’ve made any more now. God bless!

Beautiful book affirming the Bible as history
This is a beautiful book. Not only is it wonderful to read, it makes a great gift. The content affirms that the Bible is real history. The book is divided into two parts. There are five Old Testament holy places where God came down: Mamre near Hebron, Mount Moriah in Jerusalem, Bethel, Machpelah and the City of David in Jerusalem. There are five New Testament holy places where God came down: Nazareth, Bethlehem, the Garden Tomb, the Mount of Olives and the place where the Upper Room once was. The history of each of these holy places through the centuries is provided along with details of their modern archeological exploration. Then an interpretation of the significance of the holy place is given. For those who want to explore further there is a set of notes with references. The book is truly a delight.
