Belly Armor Belly Blanket Chic (Azure)

This product is a feelgood ripoff. I'm pregnant with my first kid, and like you, worried about what cell phone radiation is doing to my baby. I found this blanket and was so excited to have some protection. I got it home and wore it faithfully for a week. Then I decided to test it. I wrapped my cellphone up in it, folding the blanket completely around it a few times, and called it. It rang, no problem. That was with about 4 layers of the blanket around it. You wear it with one. I was so disappointed. I did notice if I covered my phone with a couple layers of it and pulled it off quickly, the numbers of bars changed, which is good, but not good enough. Especially not for the price. The blanket is cute and seems well made (hence the 2 stars), but that's about it.I did some further research and found a video showing how a simple sheet of tinfoil will totally block a cell signal. It seemed too good to be true (I was researching lead aprons at this point!), but I went to the kitchen, grabbed some tinfoil and my phone, put it in a single layer, and tried to call it. It didn't ring. I unwrapped it and made sure the ringer was on and tried again. 4 times. It never rang! So save yourself a boatload of money and get a wide roll of tinfoil for a few bucks and make your own blanket. I got the heavy duty kind and doubled just because. It's not as cozy as a cute blanket, but at least it works! And as an added bonus, you get to make jokes about your baby wearing a tinfoil hat. =)

I don't write reviews but I needed to for this because I was very skeptical buying it. I read a bunch of the reviews and knew about products that block radiation so i decided i would just believe it worked and use it. Well, I brought it to the hospital with me and on day 2 we ran out of swaddles so we used this while we waited for some clean ones. About 5 minutes after swaddling her, a nurse rushes in to check for our baby. She then checked our baby's security sensor bc the alarm was going off at the desk. She seemed a little confused when everything was fine. She changed the baby's sensor and left. 5 minutes later, she was back saying the sensor must be broken because the alarm is going off again. Changes it again. 5 minutes later same thing! Then it clicks for me! The blanket! I explain about the blanket and how it's blocking the signal transmission, everyone is intrigued and of course we finally get fresh swaddles. There were no more issues with the security tag after that. It works! This was definitely proof!

I bought this soon after discovering I was pregnant. I love the colors and it is not heavy or obstructive. I use it each time I'm sitting down while using my phone. That said, it's hard to tell whether it is helping the possible radiation or not, but I appreciate the personal peace of mind.

I put it over my cell phone and could not call my cell, so I think it must at least do something to block the signals! I was actually surprised.

Not sure it works...

I have no idea if it actually works, but I used it religiously throughout my pregnancy and would definitely buy again. They quality is nice, the design is pretty, and I now put it on my newborn while I use the computer.
