Great Nostalgic
The games it come with feels like 40 years ago. Solidly built and can be updated with more games. Really great fun to play. I bought this for my husband as a birthday present and he loves it, takes him back to his childhood.

Nostalgia
I still have my original C64 from 1986 and a lot of games for it, but the old girl hasn't had much of a look in since the Amiga and generations of consoles that followed it. It's a relic of a bygone age of gaming that although seemingly long in the tooth, still has the power to put smile on my face, but removing it from storage, setting in up, those tape loading times, have meant that it's been years since it has seen the light if day.I had been waiting for this to drop to a price that made the purchase worthwhile even if, like the NES mini, SNES mini, and PlayStation Classic, I only play it a couple if times, so as soon as it dropped to the £30 mark I decided to give it a punt, and and at least for one night I was transported to a simpler time when games were usually simpler, and often just as fun, if not more so.They got so much right with this little box. It looks the part, it plays mostly like original hardware and less like emulation, is a doddle to setup and add extra games to, but it is not perfect.Although it is understandable why the keyboard is not functional, easier access to the space bar and function keys, or their addition to the joystick, would have been awesome. After some of the joystick buttons seem pretty redundant. The joystick is not great, and after 30 odd years of gamepads, a little difficult to readjust to, and although external keyboards and other pads work, I'm not sure about the additional expense being worth it.This product is not perfect, but at £30 it's a steal that scratches a nostalgic itch. I also reckon it's a wonderful way to introduce younger gamers to the technology of yesteryear. It's not going to replace my PlayStation or Xbox, but it does make a lovely addition to my collection, and I'm sure I will plug it in again for a quick pop at Bubble Bobble, International Karate, Green Beret, Operation Wolf, California Games, and many others.

'E' rated USA 60Hz version received - not the advertised 'PEGI 7' UK 50hz model.
The product advertised is the British 'PEGI 7' version running at 50hz. There was no mention in the product description that I would be sent the USA NTSC version running at 60Hz where all the games run too quickly, but that's the version I received. It doesn't matter if you select PAL 50hz in the options, the screen refresh remains at 60hz and the games still play too fast. Also, the game line-up is slightly different on the USA version (e.g. No Armalyte) so I sent it back for a refund as it not what was advertised, and acquired the proper UK 50hz version via the electronical Bay, complete with Armalyte!

This is the North American version not the European version
The machine works beautifully but one thing to keep in mind is this the USA release with a slightly different games list. It's missing Hawkeye and Uchi Mata which I was hoping to play but aside from that and a fiddly update method, it's a solid piece of kit
