OREI Grounded Universal 2 in 1 Plug Adapter Type I for Australia, New Zealand and More

used this in Argentina on vacation. Packed in suitcase in its small box that just contains it, opened box for first time in Buenos Aires. Plugged (120V-240V compliant) laptop power supply into the US plug end, and plugged the other side into a wall socket. It worked, no problems. Workmanship seems good, and of course it worked. Did I mention that it worked?

I have been using these for years. I have several. They are great! Works like a charm. Love the double plug. I can use one for my computer and phone chargers.Get a few. They are worth it.

I traveled to Australia with this and a power strip and it works great. Solidly built and great feature of being able to plug in 2 devices at the same time, which comes handy at times.

Recently used three of these for our trip to New Zealand for a grounded laptop charger and our tablets and cellphones. The connections are secure with just right tightness. The second outlet on top is a great feature. During our trip one of three adapters unfortunately was left behind in a hotel room which is easy to do when you are rushing to be on time for the tour bus. However we were able to get by with two adapters before our return trip to USA.

Works well on the power in New Zeland so the plug from the USA can adapt to the foreign one while traveling... powers a C-pap machine just fine and recharges toothbrush, razor and other small appliances. Doesn't lower voltage just adapts the plug and most powersupplies can adapt to the higher voltage just fine. Always check the power supply to be sure the higher voltage will work.

US plugs typically have one prong that is larger than the other. This adaptor did not accomodate two US plugs that I tried. I could force one into the top, but neither fit the side receptacle. Beware also that this plug cannot be returned even though the Amazon web site said free returns (at least for a Prime customer, which I am). I have recently found that the free returns claim does not hold for many orders. The reason given is that they are outside vendors, but the implications of that for free returns are not obvious when a purchase is made.

These are fairly good for what they are (plug, not voltage, adapters). When I ordered them, however, there was quite a delay in shipping and then ended up coming about 8 days later than anticipated, which was a very close call as we were about to leave the country. I purchased them for use in Australia and they are work well in most settings but buyers should be aware that the plugs in Australia are round and so when one tries to use an extension lead, for instance, they don't always fit. Still I give them three stars since they work pretty well in most settings.
