This two-pack of Firecore torpedo levels offers excellent value and serves its core purpose very well, but there is one notable flaw that keeps it from a perfect 5-star score: the magnet strength. Overall, the levels are great. The 9-inch size is perfect for fitting into a tool belt or toolbox, and the shockproof body feels tough and durable enough for regular job site use. The three bubble vials (45, 90, and 180 degrees) are highly visible and accurate, making quick leveling or plumbing jobs simple. We appreciate having two levels for simultaneous use or for keeping one in the truck and one in the shop. The bright color also makes them easy to spot among clutter. However, the magnets embedded in the base are simply not strong enough. While the level will stick to a clean steel beam or pipe, the slightest nudge or vibration causes it to slide down or fall off entirely. This means we often have to hold it in place instead of relying on the magnet for hands-free adjustments, which defeats a major purpose of a magnetic torpedo level. This is a very good, reliable level for the price point, but we hope the next iteration uses a much more powerful rare-earth magnet for true hands-free operation.

Just the right size, easy to use, easy to read, bright and easy to find in my tool bag. Great for plumbing and carpentry when working in small confined spaces. Also this one is durable and well made. Dropped it a few times... no issues. Wish I had bought it years ago instead of struggling with the larger one. Recommended

Compared it to 4 other levels and this one isn't accurate what so ever - all other levels (borrowed from contractor friends) showed the same amount of ''levelness'' while this one was not even close to being level at any point...
