Delia's Complete Cookery Course: kitchen classics from the Queen of Cookery

After 40 years of good service, my original copy finally gave up the ghost.I can remember seeing an interview with Tom Kerridge where he said that he wanted to write a book which would end up so battered and used.I have hundreds of cookery books but this is the one in the kitchen.My wife said that we could get everything on the internet but sometimes you need bits and pieces

Bought to replace my original Delia's Complete Cookery Course book- which was smaller and had a dark paper jacket. The spine had let go of many pages over the years and without a chunky elastic band to hold the whole together, much would have been lost. The photographic plates are different from the ones in the first book, but I puzzle over where they were inserted. For example, lovely meringues pictured facing the recipie for beefsteak and kidney pie! Delia used to be my go-to book in the kitchen, Mary Berry joined her but I expect this new Delia will soon join the company of cookery books sprinkles with flour and cake crumbs!

If you’re a novice or even competent in the Kitchen - Delia always has some great recipes and good tips that you will keep using…As an example I now always cook my rice using the Delia method - so simple and with perfect results every time… I had one volume of the original 3 part book, but this complete book (with all three parts within) was just too good a price not to update my kitchen bookshelf.

I own many cook books but you can’t beat Delia for learning basic rules of cooking. Her recipes vary from easy to slightly more complex but they are all very easy to follow and always turn out as described

Delia's books are great cookery references books and her original book has been in constant use for many, many years and had finally fallen apart. This reprint has the same useful content but is smaller and on much cheaper paper so will certainly not last so long as the original glosssy print - a pity!!

Bought this for my son who is always using mine and will be setting up his own home real soon, I have had mine years which was also second hand when I got it. Delia is fab and her recipes so easy to follow, Delivery quick even though I only used the standard post.Thank you Russell (The sender)
