You will be able to see the engraving better with red wine as opposed to white but still adorable. This would make a great gift for that friend that you never know what to get! The glass is a good thickness, the words are etched, the font is nice, and I love this saying. It was also packaged very well for shipping. It is one of my favorite glasses.In fact, I love it so much that when I accidentally dropped a mug on top of the glass this morning and the glass broke, I'm on here to buy another.
