Was expecting some cheap but usable wire strippers. Was pleasantly surprised by the robustness and build quality of these!

I used to work with Stripax wire strippers that were awesome, but expensive. They would perfectly strip the outer jacket of a multiconductor cable without nicking the inner conductors, and then would perfectly strip the inner conductors. It was great. Over time, their system of multiple sharpened, springy "teeth" would corrode and wear out unevenly, like any mechanical system, and they would need replacing. I no longer work that job, and no longer have access to the fancy stripax strippers, and no longer need to strip hundreds or thousands of cables and wires per day. But I have a project that requires stripping a lot of wire and multi-conductor cable, so I took a chance on this. It's really good! My guess is that it will not last as long as a multi-tooth stripax, but the initial sharpness and spring tension actually does a great job of first stripping off the outer jacket, and then stripping the individual conductors of Mogami cable. If I were planning to do months of work on an industrial scale, I would spring for the stripax. But for a weekend project, it works great!

These are some of the best wire strippers on the market. They are very simple to use as my 5 year old niece is capable of making them work. These are very basic strippers and do not provide a crimper. They do however have wire cutters built into them. The offer being able to strip at different lengths as well as different sizes of wire which is really good. I do a lot of small electronic work and being able to strip small wire with ease makes this pay for itself after a few jobs. The construction is plastic but is a good durable plastic. These strippers also came with a small set of angled wire cutters so its very worth the price. I would buy this again if these ever break.

I received this product today as I had to do a small wiring chore in my house. This product does exactly what you want it to do. It cuts wires and strips them easily and proficiently. And it is very affordable. You can’t go wrong buying this.

Works great, need to strip some wires that were in a Tight spot and couldn't reach with the side style cutters, these worked great.

I purchased this just over a year ago and am only writing a review now because I came back to order another after I misplaced the first one. I literally can’t live without it. The old style of cutters and strippers seem like torture devices compared to this thing. A true god send. It is adjustable for different gauges of wire but I really only need to adjust it when stripping small gauge (thicker) wire. It is super forgiving for tiny to household wire sizes. Cutter is super sharp and the whole process is as easy as one squeeze. The design really works well. No twisting or tugging or trying to get through the insulated layer. In one squeeze it grips, locks down on the wire and pulls back the insulation. I spent about one day after not being able to find it cursing and grumbling about the time is was taking (plus frustration) to strip using the old style of wire strippers. It was enough to send me back into my order history to order again. They were working as well as the day I got em’ so they a well built and for the price, I can’t live without them. My only complaint is that there is a very limited play in how and where it grips the wire so if you are rewiring something that is already installed, sometimes it can’t get the right angle to bite down. A very very minimal flaw that is basically insignificant in the face of the true awesomeness of this tool.
