Great for apartment living
I use this every night when I walk in from work. The concept looked too simple but I had my friends tried to open the door on the other side when I tried it for the first time. The door did not move! It was also easy to put on the door and put together. This is an extra level of security so you can rest easy.

Put your anxiety at ease!
I typically would not do a review, but I just got locked on my balcony for two hours because I did not properly remove my security bar and it fell back down. I and two of my maintenance men had such a hard time getting this bar removed we almost had to break one of my apartment windows. It was not even properly locked in place and still would not open. This bar is super secure! Worth the money

Will slow down an intruder
Bought this for my daughter's apartment. We were looking for a way to add another layer of security to her front door. Her landlord would not allow us to make any modifications to the door (ie add an additional deadbolt) so we needed to find something that did not need to be "installed." This jam bar was the best we could come up with. Thankfully she never had a break in so it wasn't put to a true test. But we did have my husband try to push the door in while it was set and it seemed to hold. I think, as long as it was set properly, it would slow down an intruder and give you a few extra minutes to call for help. But it's not going to absolutely prevent someone from entering.

Recommended to any and all
Absolutely love this. Got it for our new apartment that for some reason didn't have a lock on the door knob, only the dead bolt. Super secure. Put on a different door knob with lock, but still us this just for extra security. I love it.

It's not as strong as expected
Disappointed in the "sturdiness" of this item. It is thinner than I expected and I don't feel it is as strong as I expected it to be.
